Check-in process was horrible & the night staff was very rude.
Place was clean. And pretty decent location. Friendly staff. Only con was how unaware how steep the stairs were.
Be aware!! This hotel has bed bugs!
Not only did we experience flooding in our basement room and substances from the sewers in our bath, we were also horrified to discover bed bugs. As a result of this we were forced to leave the hotel early and were not reimbursed by the hotel for any inconveniences caused. After sending numerous emails with picture evidence seeking compensation for the bed bugs, my partner and I have had no response. Do not stay here. It is not suitable for any guest- it is dirty, unhygenic and riddled with vermin that have infested our belongings and caused a lot of trauma and unnecessary distress. Absolute disgrace.
Exactly what you need if you are looking for a fair priced place to sleep close to the city. Don't expect any extras. Tidy and clean.
The room was small but lovely.
Great location and brilliant staff
Nice clean hotel, had a good stay. Location is convenient and close to most attractions in the city.
Nice Hotel
On night one, the shower and kettle broke. We wait to see if they get fixed, as this is now day two. Snug but offers a family room, unlike a lot of places in Amsterdam. Down side is, since Brexit vote, the exchange rate means it has gone up in price by £120, as we pay on arrival. Not the hotel's fault, the fault of the 52%.
O.K. to sleep for one night - friendly, clean. But I got very small room in basement.
Lovely hotel, but be careful of Amsterdam steps. The stair that brings you upstairs is quite dangerous :-)
Good rooms, safebox inside (strongbox), some drinks to drink for free, but no privacy at all in the bathroom: your partner will hear 100% of your farts (LOL) because of the not very closed "two-parts" glass door. I didn't like that.
Good breakfast with a lot of available choices to eat and drink.
Very polite staff.
Very, very nice hotel. The room was small but comfy and cute. The staff was amazingly friendly, charming and helpful to our oblivious tourist visit in Amsterdam. Suggested to us all kinds of places to try outside of the more touristy area, which was very much appreciated. Only thing I liked a bit less was the fact that the walls are really not sound-proof, and we had our room right by the reception, so we heard everything at all time. Sometimes there was alot of noise in the morning, so if you like to sleep in, that might be a problem. Although, all in all, the hotel was very nicely situated, walking distance of everything you would want.
I would go back there in a heart beat :)
