Interior design of our bathroom was done on the cheap. With a name starting with "Grand Hotel" I found this a stark contrast. But the price was appropriate for what we got. We had a room on an inner courtyard so the noise from the very busy bar across the street was not to be heard in our room. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and quiet on a Sunday. But who makes bacon from bacon bits?

This is a great hotel right in the heart of Alkmaar. If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is the place to stay. This time are well decorated, large, and comfortable. The only downside here is the noise. Like I said, it's in the heart of the action. Along with that the church bells also ring every 15 minutes and with the sun rise at 4am so do the birds. Bring ear plugs.

Bed was not levelhead side was lower.
