Fine hotel, friendly staff, nice breakfast and good rooms
Quite excellent! I went in with low-mid expectations but the place is actually quite nice for the area it's in.
Pleasant staff, clean room, no hassle
Nice and affordable. The best the team at the reception, very kind and friendly!
My company booked one room for 4 nights.
The room was clean and spacious, Single main issue was that the room (no.26) was very noisy. I asked, after first night for replacing the room; the receptionist wrote into agenda my request and promised me that everything will be OK. In the morning I asked again in order to be sure that my request will be processed.
What was happened when I come back in the evening??? NOTHING !!!
Now is 6.30 PM and I have no time to book in the other hotel !!! Another night without good sleep.!!!
I asked the receptionist for a book where I can write down my complain. She said there is no such thing !!!! Very strange !!!

It's a roomy place, the workers are really nice
Is more like a three-star hotel, but it feels like a five-star hotel compared to last one I tried. The room is nice and clean and spacious, the bathroom is excellent and has a rainshower inside of it -8 inch, and the tile is nice and new. The view from the room is excellent, and there is a view of a rook style tower from a balcony. There's also a McDonald's right around the corner for a late night snack, the train station is a block away, there is free Wi-Fi and free breakfast in the morning. The furniture is decent, it is mostly wood Decour and feels homey. It also has an LCD TV in it, about 20 -24 " with about 50-100 cable channels, no premium channels though. There is also a bar downstairs for a late night capper. Overall, the experiences are so joyful compared to the other place that I will come here again. There is also a heater in the room and it actually works.
The Forest Hotel is a small 3 star hotel right in the center of Den Helder pretty much opposite the train station. The hotel was a good stop over after a day exploring Texel Island as I was far too warn out to travel back to Amsterdam on the train. The hotel is walking distance to the Texel island ferry so if you can't get accommodation on Texel this is a good option. I stayed here in June 2014 in a single room for the night. The hotel staff were nice enough at check-in and helpful during breakfast and the hotel was clean so not a bad place to crash out overnight.
