High Tea was a lovely assortment of sweet and savory but it wasn't very "delicate". If youre expecting a British High Tea complete with cucumber sandwiches, you will be disappointed; but rest assured, no one left hungry.

The coffee and tea were fine, but I had hoped for better quality and presentation from a high tea. The ambiance of the property made us feel like we were going to have a quality presentation, but as often is the case in the Netherlands, it was the service that cost a few stars.

The staff was friendly enough but it took a long time to get our initial beverages and nearly any time we needed a refill we had to flag someone down. For a (wedding) party of seven we felt like we didnt get any attention at all.

Had a coffee and cake on the terrace, used the facilities and took a view in a junior suite. Everything is new, dark styled like in the 80s but with a lot if wood and well designed. The toilets lack fresh air, some space and better towels. The applecake was delicious, the coffee even better. Service is good, not perfect, but friendly. The kitchen is a bit on the creative side, the dishes looked good. No one around us left something on the plate. The beer card offers more than a dozen. I liked the spacey junior suite with a view over the dunes

Did not stay here but I would definitely recommend to give it a visit as the hotel rents out bikes to anyone. You can then proceed to ride along the beautiful routes that navigate through the dunes next to Wassenaarseslag and the surrounding areas. We even took the bikes into Wassenaar town centre to experience what it was like for native Dutch people to be riding on the streets. Definitely recommend for a true Dutch experience!
