  Thunderbomb Surf Camp exceeded my expectations and were amazing hosts! Surfer or non-surfer, this group made sure there was no shortage of things to do. The food was hands down worth the trip alone! Jonathan, German, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. No shortage of waves, hammocks, or rum! Repeat trip for sure!!!

  Thunderbomb was an amazing experience. You name it and they will provide it. We ate better meals at Thunderbomb than I've had since i can remember back home. The surf incredible, with almost nobody out! I would recommend Thunderbomb to anyone. Thanks

  Thunderbomb was an awesome experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Nicaragua. Jonathan, German, and the rest of the crew are incredible people and over-achieving hosts. Every meal was some of the best food I've ever eaten, the surf was insane all week, the massage, the yoga, the horseback riding, the house, the view - all of it exceeded our group's expectations by far. I hope to get back there very soon.

  It would be impossible for me to come up with any ideas to make our week stay at ThunderBomb better. Jonathan and his staff were so accommodating toward us as individuals and as a group. We all enjoyed surfing world class waves with little or no crowd at all. The food was incredible along with everything else. Can’t wait to return for another ThunderBomb Surf Camp experience!!

  ThunderBomb is easily one of the best surf escapes I have ever been on. As a beginner to intermediate surfer I never felt left out as there were world class waves right out front to practice on. As well, once I progressed Jonathan, and German knew the perfect places to take me to continue my surf progression. I have caught the best waves of my life being facilitated by this highly trained group of instructors, and have caught the surf bug directly from spending a week in this island paradise. The meals are amazing, and filling, the drinks are always cold, and the new house with volleyball and a pool make this location even more appealing for a surf vacation. My best friend and I have already been to ThunderBomb twice, and it seems our trips down to Nica are turning into an annual endeavor. Would strongly recommend anyone to attend ThunderBomb at any level of surf ability!

  I had been to ThunderBomb at it's previous location but decided to go again and was excited when the owner Jonathan informed me they had moved to a new house. The new place is way better than the old house, not to mention they have a pool and volleyball setup. My girlfriend went with me on this trip but had never surfed before, staff was super helpful teaching her and making her feel comfortable in the process as she was very nervous. All staff, meals, and everything else about the camp had also improved(the first time was already good enough for me to return). Jonathan made sure we found great waves everyday. I will return in 2017!

  Fantastic! Location was beautiful, very attentive staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly! Always happy and ready to go :) Food was excellent! Best chef in Nicaragua for sure. We ate delicious meals, surfed every day, met amazing people, fresh fruit after surf sessions is quite amazing! played beach volleyball with the ripping locals, mini soccer with world touring musicians, watched lightning and meteor showers with your closest friends, can't wait to visit again!

  EPIC - Thunderbomb Surf Camp was All Time, the Host Jonathan was great and his staff where friendly and welcoming, there local knowledge of the area is second to none. Waking up in the morning and knowing exactly where to go is pure gold.
  
  I scored amazing waves, at the best Local breaks.
  
  Relaxing after each surf was super easy, a Fresh Coconut in one hand and book in the other laying in a hammock on the front lawn.
  
  The Food was on point every single meal.
  
  The Beer Fridge was Always stocked.
  
  Defiantly going back.

  ThunderBomb is the Bomb!!!! If you're looking for a vacation to get away from it all, go here. Tiny crowds on the breaks, so you don't have to fight for the waves, chill atmosphere at the camp, and good home cooked foodno buffet crap. Wicked spots out the back door on the beach, or everything within a 15 minute drive. There is some down time waiting for tides, so bring a book and something comfy to wear while you siesta in a hammock.
  Its a small outfit, so you get to know everyone very well. The help is amazing, and are more than happy to take care of you. If you're looking to do you're own thing and help yourself, they are alright with that too. Not really any night life here besides what you and your fellow guests make of it, so if you want to party, the owner is more than happy to put it on in the common area or drive you to the next town and show you around and take you out. It works the other way to if you are looking for quiet and peaceful. If you're looking for surf classes its good because you will have a 1 on 1 teacher, instead of 1 teacher looking after a handful of people. Other than that, everyone rips here and can take you where the waves are popping that day.
  I will definitely be making my way back, and hopefully be bringing more people with me this time around. I suggest this place to the solo travelers as well as everyone there is super friendly and its easy to make friends.
