Very warm welcome from the owner who gave us plenty information. The walls are extra thin so to enjoy a quiet night better hope the place is not too crowded.

Great Hostel!
We stayed there three nights, the place is very comfortable and clean and the owner is very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was very tasty, the kitchen facility is good.
Definitely a recommendation!

Great hostel! Lovely environment in a peaceful part of Nicaragua. The pancake in the morning was incredible, I always looked forward to it! Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was okay. Dorm beds were comfy but they were $8 a night and there were over 20 people in the one dorm so it was very noisy and I think overpriced. Breakfast is provided which is great except it is literally one tiny pancake so not really enough. The family running it were absolutely lovely though!! Overall it's a nice place but breakfast needs to be bigger and I don't think the price should be so high for such a massive dorm room.

The hostel its self is simple. It lacks comfortable places to sit and relax. The outside area is nice for socialising. The owners where really nice but the other staff refused to make us coffee and where difficult to communicate with. We meant some awesome travelers there thats the highlight of this hostel. The internet was the worst internet connection we have had in all of Matagalpa.

Very central location (although quiet a walk from the bus station) with supermarkets nearby, very friendly and helpful staff. The dorm is huge but it wasn't noisy or crowded, and they provide very big lockers. The breakfast included in the dorm price (one pancake with Sirup and tea or coffee) but ok for the price. Generally, the place looked very tidy and nice, but the cleanliness of the kitchen and showers could improve.

Warm reception from hostel owners and very helpful in recommending different tourist sites and traps. Common areas are kept equipped, clean and orderly. Prices are somewhat low even for private rooms. They only take cash though and they do not have parking. They have a cute pet bunny that seems to think he is king of the place.

During our stay at Martina's place we booked the coffee Tour for $35 each. Some of the money seems to go to the development of the locals. The place itself is located around 500m from the center. The breakfast is as usual coffee, fruit and pancakes or pintogallo with an egg. The owner asks in the evening at what time you'd like to have the breakfast. It's a cute place because They have a cat and a rabbit but also paintings made by the daughter of the owner called Martina. Only the girl speaks English, the man he doesn't (yet). Price $30 for a private room with bathroom.
