Beautiful tranquil hostel just outside of Matagalpa, You could probably spend a whole day wandering around their garden. Delicious homemade vegetarian/vegan food at their restaurant (a rare pick in the region!) and nice family-like atmosphere. The owners gave us a ride to the city and some family members (whom we hadn't even met before) took us home at night when they drove by and saw us walking around the main square. Hot showers, good dorm and ecologically aware. Recommended!

Beautiful and quiet place to relax while in Matagalpa. Really nice yard full of trees and plants. However, its not located in the most convenient area (can't walk to el centro de Matagalpa or restaurants), wifi didn't work at all, and the lighting is very dim and dark.

Beautiful place, garden that is like from paradise, I liked to walk around every morning and watch butterflies. Nice clean rooms, amazing decorations, and very good breakfast. And they have friendly dogs and cat :-) Have here a dinner and it was very good.

I have traveled extensively in Latin America and this place is top notch. Food is delicious and worry free. The garden here is as lovely as they come and Matagalpa is perfectly situated for adventures in the northern part of the country. This is a superb place to rest up and relax, or to use as a base for your adventures. Make sure to try all the fresh juices, they are absolutely delicious!

Lugar diseñado con arte y orientado ecológicamente. Excelente servicio. Comida vegetariana.

Thank goodness chose to stay at Hostal Ulap Yasica when we arrived in Matagalpa. What a great

location in which to be based while we found long-term accommodations. Bernardo Gonzalez and staff

(Rosario, Mariela, and Gilber) were so welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. In

addition, the establishment was secure and inviting. Loved all the trees, plants and eco aspects. The

hostal is powered by solar panels!

Would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Matagalpa! Will gladly answer any questions

    you might have.

This hostel is great!! has gardens, restaurant, laundry service, solar energy, organic coffee, parking, night security, hot water, and the rooms are inside a metalic structure that used to be a warehouse! Amazing!
