Great place to have lunch and spend the afternoon, they have a great dock to jump off of and swim from. The food is very good with typical Nicaraguan options as well as more American food. Prices are $5 - $10 for appetisers and $10 - $20 for the main course.

Great facility for chilling with kids, there are sundecks and high platforms for jumping. The swimming in the Laguna is Always good, but the beach and shore here is a bit Rocky. We were not impressed by the food or the prices however. One can do better on the shore for food and for free kayaks, etc. We did not stay overnight or hike the grounds, maybe next time.

Excellent service! La Abuela welcomed us with a nice warm hug she's very nice and my friends from Maryland loved it there. We'll definitely return. The food was great, drinks not that expensive I would say affordable and very yummy. I haven't stayed in Las cabañas yet but they look very nice.

Do not really have a good idea as how to generate business. Stopped by for a cervesa and was told we would have to drink six to make up for the addmission. They need a better system. Hope this helps!

Bad policies and uninspired menu at American prices. Now e place to hang out but they'd like to assume all of their guests have unlimited money.

Views at this place were great. They have different areas where you can sit which is also good, however, I ordered a ceviche and it was the worst i have ever tried. Yuck! I had about two bites and returned it. Luckily they didnt charge me for it and didnt try to convince me about it tasting good. My friends ordered some fried chorizos and that was good (i mean its just fried stuff) but in general, I do not know how good the food is there. Good customer service though, so it deserves a four star!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are simple, but clean and there's no beating the view you wake up to. We did some kayaking on the lagoon and had a great time. The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is because they took 1 hour to bring us breakfast, even though they said it began at the time we went downstairs and ordered.

I had a good time here when we stayed one night this past January. It cost us $75 for a room, which was pretty nice. I came with an A/C so it got really cold, a fridge, bar sink and coffee. The bath room and shower were decent. They offered filtered water in the room and out in the general area. I when we got there about 1pm we were a little lost as to where to go to check-in. Once we found out where we were to check in we found out we had to wait about 3 hours to have our room ready. So we had all of our backpacks with valuable items(like our money and passport) that we couldn't leave, so we ended up sitting on our phones for about 3 hours waiting.

The view was outstanding in the morning and at night. You are out in a deep valley so there was no service by either provider (you could get it every no and then but not long enough to send a text). The wifi was really slow. it would take for ever to load a webpage on phone and even longer on a computer.

As you are not close to anyone you must eat at their restaurant which takes up most of the community area. The prices are pretty high compared to what we pay in the states for the same food. For the one night we (my fiancé and me) stayed it cost us about $110 for 3 meals. One meal we had Cordon blue, Pasta, and 2 piña Colada's, that cost us $40+ IVA(15%). Now the food was good and so was the view but we were not expecting to spend more than one nights stay on food.

First off I did not stay at this hotel and the reason is very simple. I am so upset that they would keep 2 beautiful Macaws locked up in cages that look just in absolute horrible condition. There is also a cage with about 8 beautiful budgie birds and at the bottom of the cage a dead budgie. It just made me so mad that there was no way possible way I could support this facility. And please do not try to tell me these are rescue birds. I have spoken to some of the locals so I had my facts straight and these birds are not being treated kindly.
Please do not support businesses that pray on animals. A very very sad way for any creature to live. Clearly animal abuse and again no one steps in to protect the animals. It has to be locals not foreigners as we will just be labeled as the enemy.

The lagoon is so beautiful. The food at the restaurant was good as well. There are swings over the water, a fun high jump, a raft, and a lot of good sunbathing spots. It is a must-visit if you are ever in Nicaragua.
