Beautiful eco resort with monkeys and hundreds of bird species, on a spring-fed, 82 degree lake. The sounds of the birds at daybreak and sunset are incredible! One of a kind place to be.

Impeccable service. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good food. Facilities are nice. Wildlife is present. Awesome sunrise and sunset. To top it off the lagoon is clean and the water is great.

Amazing resort with access to three great restaurants, swimming pools, lakefront bars, and much more.

Nice place but poorly managed. Some rooms have not been used for a long time so they can have moisture everywhere (smell). There are problems of light and are not well prepared to contain it. The staff number is not enough for the number of guests. However you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lagoon, relize paddle surfing or kayaking and enjoy the excellent food of their restaurant (in a day with low demand).

I didn't give 5 stars because they advertise the pool and waterfront, but they don't give guests at the resort first priority.

My wife and I just recently went to this resort, and I have to say that I wish we have had "the best experience" but we honestly didn't. It's a pretty place, but it's not the kind of place I honestly would like to come back, and it's a real shame because I had high hopes for it. The chefs and the transport guy who drives you around the place were nice, but the people at the reception were not helpful at all, and I'm not even sorry to say that. Food was good at "cafe salida del sol", and at the pizza place too, but it was a bit pricey. When booking, the website says they offer free breakfast and free wifi in all the rooms, and it wasn't like that. There's only wifi at the reception and the restaurants, and when we tried to talk about both the wifi and breakfast situation the receptionist said "what? You must be confused. That's not on the website", and it really says it on every site you search about it. Without having to say much more, it's sad that our experience at this place was not the best, and if you're reading this you've been warned and I hope you don't have to find all this out by yourself.

Nice place to relax and have a good meal. There's a pool, rooms for rent and a conference room, it's a complete hotel. Good place to bring the family and kids. Prices are a bit high though. Good parking space.

Big resort property where families can enjoy. Has a pool where kids can play if the apoyo lake isn't their cup of tea. Careful with your footing as there's a lot of steps to get to lake level from the street. Great food and good service. They also lend you gear for water activities.

I want to give it more, but an exotic location does not a five star make. While friendly, the service just wasn't there nor was the quality. The lack of house phone required 2 walks down to the lobby. One to report an excess of ants in a bathroom (a few is fine, it is the rural tropics) and 0 out of 3 working TV'S (not so convenient with boys ages 4 & 7 and too cool a day to swim). The second was to report a water leak that covered the kitchen floor discovered after returning from their restaurant. Only a smile, a sorry, and we'll send someone in the morning. He didn't have any mop or towels to offer. I had to use my own beach towels. The main restaurant across the street closed at 6pm! That would have been good info to tell a family. No other options besides their own small, limited menu bar/grill. Happily, the service was good as was the food. We were also told not to use the walking trails as they were "not safe." I just don't see the quality/value based on the price. A beautiful region for sure, but next time I will research options that are either more cost effective or more more.
