I try this place over and over again because the lake is so beautiful but every time I come I'm disappointed in these folks. Really bad management and really annoying that they don't share wifi with guests. If you are visiting laguna de apoyo you are much better off visiting one of their neighbors.

This is a very place. The lagoon offers warm water which is very pleasant with the hot sun and temperature. The complex is very clean and staff very helpful. It is easy to catch a cab directly with them (negotiate your fair with the driver). We were very pleased with our driver too.

There are 2 small groceries about 200meters each side of the complex in case you want fresh fruits, breads, eggs, etc.

There is a restaurant on site but closes by 7:30pm.

The only downside is that taxes are not included in the price so be ready for the final tab. Plus, you get charged extra for staying past the check out time.

The food was amazingly good. Fresh (we literally saw the corn arrived) and the cook even encouraged me to flip some of their pancake while I was observing.

I absolutely love this place I've been 3 times within 9 months and I live in Florida 😁. it's absolutely beautiful and a piece of heaven and the staff is nothing but nice. It has kyaks and tubes and chairs to lay out in. The hostel is nice but cold water for showers, it doesn't phase me. Night swimming is the best part! I have to say though they could use a karaoke machine!

Amazing rooms at the Monkey Hut! This place reminded me of the Muskokas. Do the hike to Mirador de Catarina for an incredible view of the Lagoon.

I just came to hang out with a day pass, which costs $6 plus tax. It was a lovely beach with some great lounging and eating spaces. Kayaking, which is included in the price, was fun even though the waves were pretty rough today. The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced, and the coffee is complementary. All in all a great place to relax!

Very nice place to stay, beautiful view and infrastructure. The only bad here is food, they don't have their own restaurant so they depend on others restaurants near there, that's why they can't assure the quality of food and its price is very expensive.

I been to Monkey Hut 3 times, and overtime I love it more and more. The attention to details is great and customer service wonderful. I recomend it to anyone that wants to have a lovely break in Nicaragua. I am from Nicaragua but, live in London and it was just a small piece of paradise in home land. Saúl Sotomayor

Very clean dormitory with lovely staff and great kitchen if you are on a budget and cooking for yourself. Situated on the shores of the lake, it's a beautiful place to relax; by staying you will have free access to the kayaks and rubber rings. There are a few local grocery stores nearby and one has a restaurant too. The cool air is welcoming and the nightime is tranquil.

Although I didn't actually stay here, I wish I did. We stayed in Granada but visited this place to swim in the Lagoon. This is one of those magical places that I wish I could tell more people about. The beauty of this lagoon The vastness of this space The moment you're there. If you get the chance, go. Don't hesitate. It's breathtaking.
