  Going to San Simian was a last minute scheduling change. We felt like we needed a "chill" day," and this was the was perfect place for that.
  Unfortunately, we were only able to stay here for 1 night. We spent the afternoon floating in the glass-smooth lake, surrounded by the forest inside this 23,000 year-old volcano.
  
  Daniel, the owner, has done an amazing job renovating this ~10 year-old resort that had been neglected. The outdoor (but private) shower (and loo) are "the cherry on top."
  
  Catch up on your reading, have a few drinks, enjoy the food and forget the real world.

  We travelled to Nicaragua and stayed at this resort. It was absolutely amazing ! I loved it. It was clean. The staff were friendly. An oasis ! Would love to return.

  A wonderful discovery. This isn't just an amazing resort for the price, it's an amazing resort period. Lots of privacy, warm water, good food, excellent service, attention to detail, outdoor showers, and comfortable beds, and all for less than you'd pay for a private room in a hostel in San Juan Del Sur.
