Best hostel breakfast I had in Nicaragua! Very nice staff, felt very safe, lovely courtyard and general vibe. Close to everything in the city, right across from the beach, easy transport to beaches north or south of SJDS

Located right across the Malecon and beach, has a great patio in the middle of the hostel, awesome place to chill on hammocks. Rooms are standard, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is Gayopinto, fruits and toast. The staff are really helpful, went out of their way to help me change £, which none of the banks would change in town!

This hostel is right across the street from the beach.. enjoy amazing sunsets! Great breakfast included with your stay. Pretty garden sitting area. I was in the dormit was a bit hot at night with only a couple of fans but had an ensuite bathroom with an amazing shower. The wifi was also good!

quite and peaceful place, facing the beach, cheap . . . for sure is not the best place In San Juan, but give you the best mix of price for money.

This place has a nice chilled out courtyard, the staff seem friendly and breakfast is included, but our dorm and bathroom was pretty dirty and disgusting. If you can, ask for a bottom bunk as these are bigger than the top, and seem to have a fan whereas the top bunks are smaller and the ceiling fan seemed quite useless. The location is good as it is next to the beach, but in San Juan del Sur, even if you're staying a few streets in from the beach it is still very close, so I wouldn't stay here again just for the location. We ended up moving to a different hostel because of the cleanliness. Esperanza is cheap, but we felt that by paying a couple of dollars more somewhere else was more than worth it for the increase in cleanliness. Also when we came to pay they tried to overcharge us, I'm sure it was probably an honest mistake and when I queried it everything was fine, but just make sure you check your bill.

Relaxing place, good prices for a hostel.
There's a kitchen you can use to make your own meals, breakfast is included in the rooms fare, there are community/shared rooms also.response / report this review -
