We wanted to stay here but it was unfortunately fully booked even off seasonApril/May so we stayed at least for a good meal and desert! Place looks pretty good. Receptionist quite nice and helpful. You need to take shuttle in and out.

Nice place to visit. The staff is nice and very helpful. Liked the setting and its pool, altho a bit inconvenient to go to the beach if not with the shuttle they offer. The free transfer to the beach on a huge truck was nice!! Would definitely go back

We spent two nights here and was a very nice place to just relax. The pool area is great for cooling off. The staff were very nice and helpful. Two beaches very close by (Marsella and Maderas) easy to walk or shuttle to.

Best place to stay if you are in Maderas or Marsella. Very clean and nice rooms, free wifi, delicious food and great customer service. There's also a pool, always clean. Pricea are good compared to san juan hostels.

Great area to stay in to get out of the hustle bustle of San Juan. The aesthetic of Casa Maderas is very nice with a sloped lot, good pool with volleyball net, yoga pavilion, and nice restaurant. We have no complaints, except for the fact that the "ecolodge" claim is nonsense. Their justification to be called this is because they "encourage" less water use, "plan" to use solar energy in the future, and "opt out" of TVs and air conditioning in the rooms. These are not reasons to be called an eco-lodge. Only other complaint would be the shuttle system, with the last shuttle coming back to the lodge before sunset, when the sunset on the beach is so beautiful. The hill to walk up from the beach is very steep, so if you want to stay for sunset, you must trek up this to get back home. Lastly, the food was very delicious at the restaurant, but a bit spendy. Despite these things, it is a safe bet to stay at, close the the beach and all of the necessary amenities.

Expensive but better quality than the usual hostel. The food in the restaurant is expensive but ok. A bit of a trek up a steep hill to the beech from here.

The best all round budget place at maderas. Cheap rooms and a cool and quiet atmosphere. Kind of a Lon walk to the beach but it sure beats staying at the dodgy hostel right on the water.
