We had launch and were surprised with "burrito verde" and "falafel". Very fresh, tasty and yummy. The banana bread and the coffee were the perfect for dessert.
    Definitely recommended to go!

Excellent food - try the burritos with a smoothie. I couldn't finish it all and it was very tasty. The staff was pretty friendly although it is not the cheapest - but considering its on the far side of an island, very impressed!

Amazing food and drinks. Definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in my travels through Nicaragua. The atmosphere is really nice and the space is well used and decorated. The prices are also very fair for the quality and quantity of the food. I would highly recommend the home made pastas (bolegnese being my favorite) and a glass of fresh passion fruit juice. Delicious.

Best healthy food in the island. Love the taste and presentation! They only need to get better with the wait time and service. The waitress are nice but do not show any excitement or passion for what they do. They do not come around to see how everything is going. I think they lack motivation! Other than that the food is excellent I ate there 3 times these past stay in ometepe.

Great menu! Enough Veggie options. Easy to find. Everyone knows this place. Good service. Sometimes a little delayed when large groups show up. Though the food is worth the wait.

    What a goldmine.

All on the menu freshly produced and most grown in their own garden. Homemade pasta, every day fresh bread, etc.

Good variety vegetarian and vegan options.

    Brownie is off the charts.

Ended up coming here 3 times for the delicious and organic food. Recommend the breakfast burrito with bacon and eggs, giant proportions and the vegan chunky monkey milkshakes, actually any milkshake! Appetizer/dessert portions were tiny however but the chill con carne/brownies were yum. Prices are much more than local places but worth a try!

One of the best restaurants that I've found in Nicaragua. A wide ranging menu, healthy and unique options, and fine service. We came here three times in 2 days once we discovered it.

Try the homemade pasta, it's delicious!!! My favourite were the "fettucine especial", but I also enjoyed the salads which come freshly from their own farm. Highly recommended!

Half of the ingredients of our dishes were not available. Then we had to wait more than an hour and a half for cold rubber meat.. then we asked to talk to the manager since we couldn’t eat it and he just asked us what did we want of him.. so cheeky, rude and uncomfortable.

Horrible trato del manager, esperamos una hora y media y nos dieron una comida fría imposible de comer muy decepcionante

Nice place with good food. They have nice selection for breakfast (very good omelette, but should be less oily), mex, and also indian curries.

If you make the trip to Ometepe, Café Campestre is an absolute must. Best food on the island and in my opinion one of the best in Nicaragua. Owner/chef Ben has created a very unique menu with farm fresh ingredients. Definitely worth a trip to Balgües!

Loved this place!! All the food was delicious, most of it cooked over an open fire. A couple of the staff spoke English if you can't stumble through Spanish. Highly suggested!!

The best place ever. The meals are all delicious with a variety of selections. The salads are grown on their organic farm and their other items are all made on site. Pastas, curries, burgers, deserts, salads and more Try anything that sounds good, you"ll love it.
Just a note, it can be a bit warm inside, so the seating in front or out back are good options.

Fresh pasta that they make in house, good Thai green curry and the chocolate brownie was the best we've had since we left England 4 months ago!!

We were there for lunch on a Monday it was pretty popular.

Staff were excellent and menu was bilingual.

After traveling out of the US for 5 months this is an amazing stop to get those things you've been missing, like Balsamic Vinegar. We almost drank the salad dressing. The Dahl was also so well flavored we could have eaten a barrel of it and the mozzarella cheese was like and better to some back home. Please stop and eat here, it's worth every penny. Also we bought some tahini and peanut butter and they are amazing as well.

My wife and I have eaten here on three different occasions for both lunch and dinner. A visit to Ometepe will be incomplete without stopping by for an amazing meal in a lovely setting served by some of the finest people around. Having traveled in 66 countries and being self diagnosed foodies this is world class food. Enjoy.

This is a hidden paradise on the island Ometepe. This is a must! To make the detour for it is worth it! Super healthy and so tasty, and made with locally grown fresh products. Many delicacies to enjoy there and some to bring back home!

I love Cafe Campestre! Great food, great service and love knowing where my food comes from. Nearly all of the ingredients from the cafe is sourced from the farm just a couple of kms away. All organic and delicious. Possibly best food in Nicaragua. :)
