Terrible service from the lady in charge on May 6th. We ckd in and ckd back out 15 minutes later because the lady in charge pretended to lock us in with no access to leave or enter until the next morning. No security guard on duty (day off) or No one at front desk in charge of the doors . Simply lock us in. No regards to guest evacuation protocols to say the least. Very rude person in charge not willing to listen to a valid concern.

The only reason we didn't book this lovely place for a week was the lack of work spaces. However, after an early morning arrival we remembered them and dropped in for breakfast, which was very good and fairly priced. They let us wait around for several hours and were super friendly.
One day later, we decided to leave due to the civil unrest and this was the only place we could think of to help us change our money and find a taxi (on a Sunday). They again were very helpful and friendly.
If I ever come back to SJDS, I will stay there for sure!response / report this review -

The hotel was good, clean and comfortable, with just one complaint. We had one load of laundry washed (no dryer) and the owner charged us $18 USD for that. We feel this is unfair for one machine load of laundry.

The hotel was OK except for one major complaint about the owner. We had one load of laundry washed (no dryer even used) and the owner charged us $18 USD for that. Clearly, she was taking advantage of the situation, by not telling us the price in advance, and then inventing an outrageous price. Beware of a hotel owner such as this, as she will take advantage of you, if given the opportunity. I hope that you choose to support a fair hotel operator, instead of this one.

The facilities were nice, with free breakfast and a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel. Breakfast was included with the room as well. Unfortunately, there was also a lot of noise from other guests and, in the morning, from the kitchen in the room we stayed in. Also, we seemed to have a lot of mosquitos get into the room from somewhere. All in all, not a bad place.

Un lugar muy lindo, pero me decepcionó que el día que le indiqué a la encargada que un tipo afuera de manera muy agresiva (después de que no lo deje abrazarme) me ofreció sustancias ilegales solo se limitó a decirme que “son unos borrachitos que siempre están afuera y no hacen nada”.
Seguro lo ven muy normal, pero ya no me sentí muy segura después de eso y menos viendo desde mi habitación que estuvieron largo rato afuera tratando de hacer lo mismo con otras personas que pena que no hagan nada al respecto.response / report this review -

Un excelente hotel con un excelente desayuno, & muy buen servicio al cliente. Los precios no son tan baratos pero lo valen. Sus habitaciones son muy limpias, lindas & cómodas .

This cute hotel is in walking distance of everything in San Juan Del Sur and very close to the beach. The room was very small albeit clean and included air conditioning. The staff was wonderful. Our only issue was the noise. All cars and buses coming into town pass by this hotel and the noise starts very early in the morning.
