This place was amazing! People here were so nice. We stayed in a big house and it was beautiful. There is security on site 24/7. I had my 9 year old son with me and he really enjoyed the pool and concrete skate ramp by the ocean. We did a horse back ride too. Everyone was very accommodating. The food and drinks were never a disappointment. I'm booking my next trip and staying here again! Now with my 7 month old son too :)

Spent a week there. Delightfully chill. Staff is friendly. Place is immaculate. Food is fantastic. You'll want to go back even before you reach concrete. I will return.

Buena Onda beach resort beat our already high expectations. We spent a week in the Villa Don Ernesto, a nicely equipped, beautiful spacious 2 bedroom house.
The thoughtful layout of the beautiful gardens made for a relaxing time spent by the pool. The kid friendly environment made for a stress free, safe stay.
We couldn't say enough about the amazing staff, they went above and beyond. From our arrival to departure they put us at ease in a friendly casual atmosphere.

There is a skateboarding half pipe super cool at the beach and they let you use skateboards for free!
The staff is very friendly and polite. The place is colorful, clean. The pool is clear as the air.
I highly recommend this place.
The beach is a beautiful natural show!

This is a very good place with reasonable rates for the area. You will pay premium if you want A.C., a lockbox and private bathroom etc but it's still far cheaper than other places. Bit of a warning, some rooms have poor ventilation and get super hot. Beds are comfy and there is hot water and good pressure in the showers. Pool is very nice, and the beach really is just steps away. Pretty spectacular! Food is ok but you will probably need to venture out for more variety - there are a fee other good places nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything I needed was provided. I enjoyed my time here!

Hands down, 5 stars. Great accommodations on site, including restaurant with affordable food (a little bit pricy for Nicaragua, but the convenience is a factor), pool & a 30 second walk to the beach break. The staff & owners are very helpful. They coordinated our transportation to/from the airport for $40/person. We stayed in the Private Villa, which was incredible. A/C, maid service, kitchen, private balcony, you name it. Surf wise, we scored in the summer, offshore winds blowing all week. If you're looking to get barreled & chill in a laid back beach spot, go here! We mainly surfed Playa Santana, but there are other breaks nearby. Only complaint surf wise was that the waves closed out sometimes, but could have just been the sandbar at the time. Only other complaint was that 3 friends and I got sick, not sure how we got the bug. It was paradiseI plan to definitely go back :)

Beautiful place, clean nice and with security, place is very nice except for the owner, we were asked to quiet down while the crew was having a party upstairs with music (crazy) also they charge for everything, we had to ask even to get our change back when we payed! Sometimes is not about a nice place but about service quality, not good a surf vibe from the crew.

Good food, clean rooms, security. Property and pool are well cared for. Food prices are a little higher than elsewhere but I wouldn't expect less since it's very convenient to just eat there. They should let you refill water for free to cut down on plastic. We stayed in a bunk room for 4 people called "Europa". The room has 2 fans but no AC, the screen windows are small and it doesn't catch breeze very well. We left the door open every night for more air flow. All of us at some point ended up sleeping outside on hammocks or cushions under the rancho. For the budget traveler that wants some convenience and modern features it's pretty nice. The only gripe is more airflow in the room. Staff is very friendly and seem aimed to please.
