Rooms are neat & there are tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms which was a plus for me as a tea-lover. However I was there for an exhibition and staff responsiveness during set-up was not top-notch but picked up after several hours of delay/complaint. This was the only downside as the room was cool, parking was adequate & convenience was clean.

I dont really have much to say about this place as we never had a chance to have a look at their room. Apparently after a certain time of the day clients are not allowed to view the rooms before booking in which i find very odd. How could you book in an hotel without knowing how the facilities look like?
From the from desk it looks like a OKAY place but they is better in the area.response / report this review -

About the best in the municipality. Spacious rooms, secure environment. Very close to the city centre. Easily accessible, just along the major highway. Courteous and professional staffs : from the front desk to the room service and restaurant Staffs. No soliciting. Tasty dishes. Good value for your money. They have a central water heating system. You are likely to run into someone prominent lodging here with you.

The ambience is top notch,the services rendered are super cooltheir pool is on point. The calibre of people who come there is another thing worthy of note.

Clean and elegant (as expected).
Toilet roll was hard to come by.
Stranger still in the male toilets they had square toilet seats for the round toilet bowls!
A lot of bikini clad ladies at the poolside on the weekends.
Nice poolside music.

One of the oldest and finest Hotel in Calabar Town, was know as Metropolitan Hotel (popularly called Metro). Beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
