We arrived at Reception with a friendly greeting from Gideon that booked us in. He explained to us the informaition booklet and send us on our way to the Wilderness Lodge. Wow!! What an oasis , surrounded by moutains and green plant life. Food is good and staff are friendly and very helpful. Make sure you book a Game drive !! Lots of animals to see; and to stand 4 meters away from a rhino. Wow!!!
Cheap and affordable. Good for hiking.
Lovely place surounded Tablemountain great Rihno tracking tour!
Best stay on our trip througout Namibia. Nice hut. The staff really took care of us. Wonderful surroundings and a lot of animals. (But bring a warm sweater in winter.) I really would like to return one day.
Außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal, schöne Lage mitten in der Natur.
Saubere Zimmer und leckeres Essen
Very friendly stuff, nice surroundings. Quality and size of served meals could be improved.
It was also nice to have no tourist buses in this hotel.
This Lodge actually features 4 different types of lodges. The Waterberg Wilderness Lodge has stone buildings and nice rooms. Please be aware that the double rooms do not have two beds that can be moved apart but only one large bed. The lodge is the last one in the valley placed deep inside the Waterberg Valley, so you have a fantastic view of the mountain all around. The little park area in the middle with a huge Bambus tree invites you to calm down and relax. Don't miss the Coffee and Cake in the afternoon. The cake is delicious and we found this to be a wonderful gesture of the Hotel team, when they told us we were invited to it.
We stayed here 4 years ago and came back this year, but as this place has 4 lodges, we stayed in the Plateau Lodge this year. You can read about this in the post for the Waterber Plateau Lodge. Oh, just one more thing: We found the place being just a nice when we came back.
Reception staff is not friendly and willing to help.
Campsite was not cleaned up, only after complaining it got done late at night.
We had serious abnormal rainfalls during our whole stay. There is nothing to hide. Even the shaded table is getting totally wet. Campfire and bin are flooded after one hour of rain. Campsite was flooded the next morning.
We were supposed to stay another night but it was impossible because of this rain. Ablution facility is open so it started to get flooded as well.
Asked reception staff to get compensation or if they had another solution for us. They couldn't offer anything, not even an appologise. They said all guests left already and it was not their fault. Nobody appologised because we had to pay for 2 nights and they couldn't even offer us something to shade so we could stay the other night.
Bad experience, not worth going to Waterberg although the view is nice. You can better go for a visit in the Waterberg Plateau Lodge, there you have the best view and you don't need to meet these retards.
They just want your money and don't care about their guests. They don't know appologises and are unfriendly.
Swimming pool is very dirty, not much firewood available.

😊
Sehr gemütliche Lodge am wunderschönen Waterberg! Frühstück, Afternoon Tea und Abendessen verdienen absolut 5 Sterne!
