We gave back a rental car after 14 days full in fuel, paid a fortune and then they argued that I only have 7/8 full because I drove 20km (because I fueled in Windhoek). This is a pretty ridiculous business practice - making your paying customers angry because of 3 liters of fuel. Btw they charged 125N$ for it. Thanks but never again with Hertz.
Man wird von vorne bis hinten abgezockt. Kaution wird einfach einbehalten. Klagen müsste man in Namibia. Hertz Europe oder Deutschland fühlen sich nicht zuständig. Damit wird extra Umsatz gemacht.
Finger weg von Hertz.
Horrible, stressful experience with Hilton Windhoek location- no sat nav provided even when requested before, was given a vehicle with an already flat spare tyre (only discovered on return in Cape Town), pre-inspection damages were not noted in the document clearly (resulting in problems at return), and finally Cross -border authorization was not provided upon departure (this was stressful as we had to call the guy over three days to get the document finally emailed). Totally Unprofessional service - wouldn't have expected this from a brand like Hertz.
We recently rented a 4WD for a 3-week road trip. Acceptance and return of car was efficient and pleasant (but don't forget to keep and bring along the petrol station's final bill when returning the car). We found the Hertz customer service excellent, especially the help & assistance provided after a little accident we had (smashed side window due to stone sent flying by a passing car). We recommend Hertz, and will book again soon.
