Excellent rental company for a Namibia self drive. The car was new and worked very well and great additional equipment. The customer service was excellent with comprehensive induction and quick response to our queries mid trip. Highly recommend.

We had the Luxury Campervan, and it was a real hotel! Very easy to set up (10 minutes), even if you're only 1 person, very confortable (fridge, kitchen, washing place,) , and easy to drive. Plus, 4x4 Rentals is providing a really good costumer service with friendly people and good prices. I woud recommand anybody which wants to visit Namibia to go there for the rental part!

Preparations and instructions on the vehicle and camping equipment was very thorough and well explained prior to take off. The brand new Hilux performed excellently en route and we had a dream trip. I have wanted to go to Namibia for 30 years and finally my dreams came through. The experience was better than I had imagined, beautiful country, accommodating friendly people, great food and amazing scenery! I'll be back and will rent again from Namibia 4x4!

Responsive service and reliable vehicle.

When I was planning my trip to Namibia, I was so concerned about the safety of driving on gravel roads, mainly due to the high road accidents rate in Namibia. It is Sybille who provided me a lot of useful information that addressed my concerns and gave me the advice on what type of vechiles to rent for my trip. Most importantly, the vechile they offered was well maintained. We had no issues at all for the 10 days drive.

To thoese who would be interested in self-drive in Namibia but has no experience on gravel road before, my advice is that: stick to the speed limit, and you will be safe.

I definetelly recommend this company! The service is excelent! We had a lot of doubts since the beggining of our travel plans and Sybille was very kind and answered all of our questions. The car was not new but was in perfect conditions, fully equipped (Tents, freezer, table, chairs, kitchen stuff, ets) without any hidden cost, good tires, and they also offer 2 pick up services for free!

We were the first clients from Brazil and we really recommend the company to other brazilians that are thinking about visiting Namibia. The country is really beautiful!

The service is very good; New model car, fully equipped without any hidden cost, very good tires, thorough explanation at pick up and very knowledgeable and hospitable owners. In one word: EXCELLENT!

We arrived a day before in Windhoek, were picked up from the airport, brought to our hotel and then picked up the following morning to be brought to the company for delivery of the 4x4. Upon return, again complementary drop off included.

Great customer service. Before you know you are on your way to your adventure.

We rent a 4x4 for three weeks with a rooftop tent (July 2017) and we were totally satisfied about our rent. The car had only 64.000 kms and was fully equipped (all camping material for cooking, but also for sleeping like sleeping bags and cushions, plus a table, chairs and even a napkin and a sat phone). The service is really good and is provided by a kind staff. They helped us finding a dealer in the region we were to replace our flat tyre.
I can only recommend to work with them for any trip in Namibia.

Prompt and helpful online. 4wd vehicle was clean and reliable. Rooftop tents worked well for us. Great to have aircon. smooth pick up and drop off. Allow plenty of time to familiarise with vehicle on pickup.

I can recommend this company for their outstanding service and advice, great value and the quality of their vehicle, which we rented for some two weeks to tour Namibia. We covered 3 000km without a hitch, travelling mostly on gravel roads. The vehicle was equipped with a dual fuel tank, a GPS device, two spare tyres and a small compressor (for re-inflating tyres when necessary). We also had the peace of mind that came with the insurance provided and service providers the company has around the country who are available to assist wherever required. Our trip to Namibia was every bit as amazing as we had expected, in large part because of Africa 4x4 Rentals.

I could not have wished for a better experience. Period! Let me be specific.
- The experience started with email communication to receive a quote, discuss options, and make a reservation. Everything was clear, very well explained, and their response time was 24 hours at most. Their English is perfect, nothing was hidden.
- The 4x4 car with all the camping equipment, including the roof tent was in absolutely perfect, and very clean condition. Even the interior looked like new.
- The staff was super friendly, and gave us a very good tour of the car, how to deploy the tent, etc. All the requested options were already in the car.
- They picked-us up at the airport after our late night arrival, drove us to our hotel, picked-up us the following morning to get to their rental car location and get our car, accommodated a late evening return for us, with someone waiting for us at their location despite our late return, then gave us a ride to our hotel, and then picked-up us at 3:30am the next morning to drive us to the airport. Each time, they were perfectly on-time, and as I stated above they went way above and beyond their normal duties to accommodate our late arrival and return. All of this with a big smile, and friendly attitude.
- I could not have wished for a better service than what I received from their team. It is quite rare actually.
A big THANK YOU to your entire team. I will be back in Namibia and will reach out to you for sure.
