It's great place, with a great view. Just don't go on the game drives midday, cause you won't see much.
What a beautiful place so close to the city of Windhoek. 4x4 and good protective shoes / hiking boots essential to enjoy the scenery.
Good accomodation
Way too expensive. Restaurant advertise buffet breakfast, but is not true. No animals in park.
Very quiet and well maintained accommodation. Wonderful for the occasional getaway. Excellent views not far from the city.
Beautiful place to stay for a couple of days. Tracking and hiking is fun.
Much to do about nothing in a sense that the entrance cost is high, and then still more charges inside.
The only possibility of getting your money's worth was the game drive where we paid R60 for both vehicle with five people. We were fortunate to see giraffe and buck up close, and that was a stroke of luck as they wander around and just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Beautiful setting for meetings and conferences or a day at the pool just outside Windhoek. Always seem to see wildlife as we drive from the highway into the reserve to the conference center. Pleasant restaurant and pool area. Haven’t stayed in the villas.
Superb game reserve, great lodge, restaurant and camping facilities. One concern is the camping price of $650per person per night. Too expensive for locals and international guests.
Great reserve and resort. Entry fee to the reserve is on-par with other wildlife parks, however I found that the overnight camping fee expensive. R650/pp (2017) besides for that, it's a great camp site, new ablutions and a well priced restaurant. Loads of wildlife.
Nice place for hiking short trail (3-4 kms) or longer (around 10km), where we had nice view on Windhoek and see some animals
Beautiful scenery. Rooms are superb. Although they do provide braai (grill) facilities, the cutlery and crockery is missing. Restaurant average; staff not organized. Otherwise a pleasant experience.
Nice and quiet plus very good for hiking for outdoorsy people. You can leave the pool area and restaurant to enjoy the actual game reserve.
Very nice camp sites.
The chalet's where very nice although there was very a spoon considered as "cutlery" . The breakfast choices were very pore and the cereal had some black stuff in it.
Clean and safe. Loads of animals. A bit expensive for a campsite though. 200 NAD per night.
Good food, great atmosphere! Excellent accommodation!
Nice and quiet environment. Nice chalets. Good food, slow service. They even have a hiking trail for walks (9km and 15km)
They charge to access the restaurant which is sort of silly. But overally a good place to visit
We camped at Daan Viljoen. The camping spots are cool. There is everything you may need there, even a place to plug in if need be. The walls in the bathrooms are a bit weird, looks dirty. Pool is nice and clean when we were there. You can see some animals at night gathering at the watering hole.
Facilities exceptionally clean and well maintained. Service at restaurant slow but food nevertheless good. Lovely setting and stunning pool.
Small game reserve. Beautiful chalets and camping facilities. Close enough to Windhoek to stay there on business trips. Fairly tame non-predating game around.
