Good people great staff cold beer love the atmosphere . 5 star
Brilliant stay at Urban Camp. Totally converted me from usually opting to stay in hotels. The place has such a vibe, the staff are modern, hip and friendly.
The ablutions are cleaner than I’ve seen in many hotels you pay top dollar for, the showers are powerful and the sinks all have plugs.
They sell bags of wood for R50, the bar is vibey and Hansa (Windhoek) Draught is only R26 a pint!
Each campsite has a hammock and a cool braai area with electricity provided. We popped out to the shops on the morning and when we returned the braai had been cleaned.
Security is excellent, price is amazing, they have a swimming pool, it’s minutes from Joe’s Beerhouse and if you want breakfast, it’ll set you back R75. There is also free WIFI which is pretty good.
This is my new first choice when staying in Windhoek.
Awesome place to wind down and have some drinks with your mates. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.
Perfect retreat in the capital Windhoek. Quiet, secluded yet with all the city services within easy reach. Great service and amazing camping spots as well as glamping. A very lively joint.
Amazing camp site in windhoek!
Staff is young and fun, helpful in any way you will need. Great bar and food
There is wifi, hot showers and open showers (no roof) which are really nice, options for tents with beds or camping sites with your own equipment.
Very recommended!!
BEST PLACE for camping or spending your afternoon.
The staff is lovely, the drinks, the food, the camping area, the pool, the safety, the nice campers/backpackers.
Central place.
Recommended!!!!
Unfortunately my first and only experience here was not positive. Your manager Kristy does not have any customer service skills and does not know how to treat paying customers. From yelling at our table of patrons to holding my friend's driver's license and refusing to give it back. This place is a disgrace & a very bad reflection on Namibia. It's unacceptable to have an attitude with customers who have done nothing to her especially after our order was messed up. Instead of rectifying the situation she exasperated it and made it worse. She wanted to kick us out and was just looking for the opportunity to do so. I will definately not be back because I'm a paying customer who deserves to be treated accordingly and not like they are doing me a favor.
Great stop to get things ready for trip into the great unknown. In the outskirts of Windhoek. Or to get you back and packet a way for the return to the hassle and b.s. of everyday life
Excellent place. Zero negative comments. Very professional and clean. Excellent laid-back restaurant
Good atmosphere, would visit again.
Unfortunately this is a self-service establishment. Also the kitchen close at the whim of the on duty bartenders although the menu states 9pm.
Excellent place in Windhoek. Several types of accomodation available: campsite, standard tents, superior tents (with "real" beds). Cleanliness, friendly staff, nice and crowded bar. Walking distance to some restaurants. Small pool is present, too.
Excellent place to stay. Great layout. Small pool. Pub. Very neat. Recommended!
I arrived with a tour group. I didn't like the stony space given to pitch tents. I upgraded to a fixed tent, that was really nice. Welcome treats, a fan, comfy beds. The whole camp site is so interesting in the ingenious ways traditional artifacts have been used to give an experience. It's close to useful amenities like atms and shops. I enjoyed the pool and access to wifi.
One of the best camp sites in Namibia. Safe, clean, pleasant staff, swimming pool, good breakfast, internet. If you need to camp close to Windhoek, camp here.
Well organized campsite with good security. Bar lively and very relaxed atmosphere. Only self service though.
Good food Good Wi-Fi.. lovely Staff crispy swimming pool neat place
I love the homey and outdoorsy feel of the place. They have very friendly service. The food is great too.
Great place for the money. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Although in a bar area of town we were told. Good budget place.
Great Scenery, awesome staff members, great food and of course amazing drinks. Very kid friendly and the two dogs there are friendly and cute. It's a quiet place, so if you like loud places then it's not really your kind of spot but you can always make a noise outside by the poolside. You'll feel like you're at home :)
Convenient, and very accessible. Friendly and helpful Staff. Clean linen and bed was comfortable, effective gas geysers meant a nice hot shower. 2 bed tent was a bit small for my purposes but next time the bigger tent definitely.
As expected, a nice and clean urban camp site.
A good stop at the beginning or end of a Namibia trip. Crowded, but does the job perfectly.
Very clean.
Friendly staff at reception/bar. Great stay at Urbancamp.
Closeby Joe's beer bar.
Tents are clean, big and cosy. Ablution facilities are clean and good. Outside showers are nice as well.
Great place to stay if you look for something in Windhoek.
Clean. Staff helpfull. Bar well stocked. Ideal to launch from as a base camp before exploring Namibia further. We will be back.
Pobably the best campsite in Namibia. Nice pool area, friendly people and clean ablutions.
Recommended in Windhoek.
Friendly and helpful staff. Unique setting. Clean and looked after facilities. Tents have a hammock outside, inside are comfortable beds, sleeping net, fan and lighting. Outdoor shower cubicles are very different but there are indoor lockable ones. The downside is that our tent is near a main road so it is a bit noisy (to be expected). But all in all a nice place to stay.
Good alternative. They lost our booking though and then argued the fact we had one? Till we showed them our electronic copy.
If you're into a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, good service, roomy tents with comfortable beds and showering with someone you like good enough to shower with, this is for you.
Nice and helpful staff, fun times, cheap but feels luxurious. Kid and adult friendly, nice dogs.
