Clean, well organized and great assortment of stuff needed on a beach town. Picked up sunscreen, water, beer and some beach wear. Check out was fast and the ladies at the counter were courteous.

Its a big walmart with usually well stocked shelves. Has a bakery inside and a hot kitchen. Its usually very busy in here. Also they are open from 7am to 1am everyday which is convenient. Big tip dont go shopping at 10:30pm as they do their shift change at that time at all the registers at the same time. They count their tills there while you wait and takes them at least 20 to 30 minutes to do that change and you are stuck there waiting in line.

Honestly, this is the best Walmart I think I’ve ever been to. It’s well organized and clean and had just about everything you could need or want. There are even taxis in the parking lot under the store in case you buy something that’s a little too heavy to carry back to your hotel. Well done Playa del Carmen

Great place to locate cheap tourist gifts. Walmart prices on most goods. Limited selection in household , and such. But great to pick up items needed for vacation! Should have a fundamental basis of Spanish as there are limited employees that speak other languages. But most are very friendly and try to be helpful. If you are not familiar, most items in grocery are displayed out and it's ur responsibility to gather desired items and have weighed.meats, fruit, bakery, and cased deli items all get packed in their departments. Nice selection of grocery and drinks!
Try to pay attention to where you are in aisles, there are usually bunches of people who will take you out if you don't watch where you idle..lines look ling but move quickly!

They have very few cashiers and the wait to pay for a couple of items is sometimes not worth going to one store to get two items that you could get in a local store. It is a big Wal-Mart compared to others, but the range of products is not as wide as it should be.

They accept payment in national currency and US dollar, it is well stocked, the parking lot is large and accessible for those who use wheelchairs. It is well stocked and the prices are good.

This store has a great selection, but prices are often not competitive with surrounding supermarket (of which there are plenty).
There is a food court that serves, frankly, horrendous food, I do not recommend dining here whatsoever.
This store is mostly useful for finding imported foods that are hard to find in mexico, but more could be done to bring them to a price in line with Mexican wages.

Selection great, but the waiting lines are way too crazy! They only have a few cash registers open, when the store is 100% full. Not wort going just because of that. Also, the directions on Google maps are not even correct.

I really enjoy visiting this WalMart when we come to Playa Del Carmen. It's easy to find and everyone there is quite friendly. It's a good place to stock up on booze if you don't have an all-inclusive. Also be sure to go to the bakery and check out the food they make and eat like a local!

Different than in the US large underground parking, like the power ramp. Definitely buy the Don Julio Blanco 70 about 40 USD a bottle cannot touch that price point at any duty free shop

DON'T LEAVE YOUR BAG IN THE CART. KEEP YOUR BAG WITH YOU. Someone stole my bag. I lost my wallet, iphone, passport. There's no cctv and walmart did nothing for the customer. They told me the location of the police station but the police station moved a year ago, and there' nothing there. We had to find another police station at 11 p.m.

The downtown Walmart in the Heart of Playa del Carmen always has your last minute needs. The produce section is one of the best for a large chain store in PdC, the staff is always friendly, and I'm usually impressed with the overall cleanliness of the store. Bonus - they're USD conversion rate is always VERY good, and pretty comparable with the banks, making it easy to spend USD without being ripped off.

Great prices as always. Large selection of swimsuits, towels, sunscreen and beach toys, etc. We got a cooker and filled it with fresh fruit right when we arrived. ATM inside the store.

Great Place for shopping. Whatever you want, they have. Commercialized. Almost all Items are reasonable cost. Lines are very long sometimes with Patient Mode but it is worth the wait.

I stopped here just to buy a beach umbrella a couple of chairs. I found Tequila, Margarita mix. Local produce avocado's garlic a few limes.

I ended up with Lots of Margaritas and guacamole on the beach while I enjoyed my Walmart umbrella's shade and beachside seat. All for $1300 pesos. What an asset for a traveler on a budget.

Oh and Walmart was filled with awesome Mexicans! No criminals just good hard working helpful people. Thanks for sharing you're beautiful beach with this Ivory white guy from NY. Nick @ unleashed on the world
