The staff were very helpful and spoke a variety of languages! The rooms were beautiful and everyone had their own balcony. There's also a beach on the resort as well as many different pools for adult and kids!

Food was ok. Activities/shows weren't very good. So if you are someone looking to spend all of your time on the resort, this probably isn't the place for you. Best thing was the location. Nice pool and great beach, but limited seating, place was very busy while we we're here. Short taxi ride to downtown. Courteous staff.

Also, tennis is listed as an activity, but the tennis courts are unplayable. Roof top courts that need resurfacing badly.

Front desk guy tried to rip me off $60usd and they are so unwelcoming even the manager. Food was terrible, rooms particularly the bathroom needs to be redone, limited yellow dried out towels provided. They charge for water and use for safe plus a resort tax fee. Not allowed to exchange pool towels even if it's soaking wet and dirty - 1 per day. The good part is the shadded areas on the beach, the resort itself is clean, other staff members are nice, entertainment staff was great with the kids. Buffet restaurant is a hot canteen. This place is like a motel and over priced for what it offers. Not good value.

The online description and photos tell an accurate story of this resort. It's conveniently located, has a lot of activities to offer and food services was what you'd expect. The receptionists at the front desk need better training-even in Spanish they lacked care and positivity. Those with whom we interacted seemed upset to be working. But all other workers were very kind and helpful. The beach was clean and there were always lounge chairs available in the shade.

Very nice resort, especially if you get a good deal. Lots of activities, including water sports like catamarans and kayaks, trapeze and archery. Plenty to do for a few days with kids. Beach is pretty nice and close. Food is decent as well. They do have a few cost cutting measures that take away from the experience a little, like no unlimited water bottles, and no proper bathroom supplies.

Wonderful place to go to while in Mexico. Excellent food served at the a la carte restaurants and incredible housekeeping. Was impressed by the cleaning staff. Our room was cleaned and sheets changed every single day of our stay. Even had the opportunity to visit their sister concern, Wyndham Aztec as one of the a la carte choices. Their beach is one of the best on the shoreline. Blue waters and not at all rocky with plenty of beach chairs. Food served at the buffet needs a bit more variety as there was repetiton of the same dishes noticed during lunch and dinner. The same goes for dessert. Would have given it a rating of 5 if this aspect was looked into by management. Overall hospitable staff, had some good cocktails and cappuccinos and amazing place to visit for those on a budget.

Loved this place! Check In was a little slow but aside from that food was fantastic, staff were great and entertainment was fun they have it every night starting at 930pm. The pools and rooms were well kept up and clean, the resort is on the beach with activities everyday as well.I would definitely go back.

I stayed in the hotel for 5 days and I would mainly like to comment on the staff at the kids club. They were super and my children loved the kids club. I love that they had an agenda of daily activities for the kids to do. It was hard to get my children to actually vacation with us they wanted to stay with the young ladies in the kids club. They were super organized and very nice. I only have one suggestion is to have them post the daily schedule so that if the kids don't come early in the morning they will automatically know where they are located.

Nice resort for the price I guess, but the paid WiFi is trash and the food could be better.The beach was beautiful but was also quite crowded. The environment here isn't the best for families, as there is a lot of alcohol and many of the people were party-goer type. The air conditioning in the room is nice, and the bathroom was clean. They could have better ammenities for the bathroom though, the soap and shampoo were in dispensers and had a very weird texture. All of the staff went above and beyond their jobs and that was refreshing to see. There were plenty of things to do in the resort as far as activities, so that was nice as well. I would probably go to this resort again, but maybe at a time when it is less busy.

We had booked our stay at this resort through expedia. Our's was a 7-day stay. This is a very good resort, with loads of activities and fun things to do. You will always have some kind of activities to do while on the resort. We had booked an all-inclusive package so unlimited drinks and food. The internet is restricted to the lobby area but that is actually good because it is vacation time and you need to be away from all the hassle of internet. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. They treat you like a part of their family during the stay. There is a wide variety and option for food as well and being pure vegetarian did not pose any problem for us. The resort is clean and beautiful. The games night is the one of the best event. Just to list down a few, they have beach yoga, water aerobics, beach volleyball, fun games, archery, darts, trapez, Spanish class, zumba, dance lessons, horse shoe game, and many many more activities and every night they have special events. And guess what, you can enjoy the sunrise just walking for a minute from the resort to the beach. Even the downtown is like 20 minutes walk from the resort or you can book a cab and even the playa del carman shopping complex is 5 minute walk away. I was really impressed by their hospitality and would highly recommend for the ones who are looking for fun trip with loads of activities to do on the resort itself.

We went to the Viva Wyndham Maya the week of Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time. We were very happy with the choice that we made to stay at this resort. The staff was amazing- Eder the bartender, Gabriel at the Italian restaurant, Rafael P at the beach, Gustavo that did the water aerobics. There was plenty to do and our rooms were nice. The bed and the pillows were the only uncomfortable thing we found at this resort. We did get only 1 bottle of water but we knew to take our own so it was not a problem at all. This was our first trip to Rivera Maya and we didn't know what to expect and this place and staff exceeded our expectations by far and we will definitely be returning to this resort for an encore trip!! Thanks for the great time!!

For the price point this resort is excellent. I had great service from the parking attendants, front desk staff and everyone I encountered after.

The bellman was unhappy with our room location relative to having 3 children with us and arranged to have us moved to a room right by the Beach for no extra charge. A misplaced beach bag in a taxi had efforts from the vehicle attendants and Customer Service staff tracking down the taxi. Great service!

Room was clean and well maintained. Numerous locations to eat near the beach and on the property. Good selection at buffet, nicely displayed, vegan options and fresh fruits and vegetables were readily available.

All staff appeared to speak English and were friendly and outgoing. Would definitely stay here again.
