Most of the time, the buses arrive as scheduled and other times the schedules are off. Wifi available at the station and walkable to many parts of Tulum central.

This local bus station is Tulum is quite small and doesn't have too many seats. There is a small convience shop, a Santander atm and a toilet that you have to pay to go into. Note that most of the buses leave about 5-10mins behind schedule. There are buses that go all the way down to Belize from here

Not a terrible experience. It would be nice if more people spoke English since they serve so many international travelers but what can you do, it's Mexico and everyone speaks Spanish. They signage isn't great and depending on the location you either get your assigned seat or you don't. Haven't figured that one out either.

Efficient and helpful ticket counter. Good quality free Wi-Fi. 24h convenience store. 10 Pesos for very clean restrooms.

Simple. Easy to navigate. No problems. Watched a movie in Spanish on the bus. Easy to get in and out of. Good way to get around for like $10 a ticket.

if you want cheapest option, you always can take a Van on the highway, it's collective transport, it works 24/7 and prices are depending you are and where you go, prices on pic are valid FROM Tulum. The last stop is Playa del Carmen so if want to go to Cancun, you should go to Playa and then take another van to Cancun; so total cost Tulum-Cancun would be $90 MXN

The ADO buses are a great transportation in the Yucatan Peninsula. Tiny terminal, but very efficient.

A small bus station. No too much to add. Sometimes it is pretty crowded. A lot of shops around and plenty of places to eat if arrive earlier.
Hint: you can use and compare the public transport service (vans) they are normally cheaper (50% aprox) and faster than the bus service. It'd depend where you are heading.

Security guard took our tickets to check for our bus, never gave them back and accussed us of not having tickets. Went to ticket counter and they refused to reissue us tickets and asked us to buy new ones All his happened in plain sight and in front of everyone in he small terminal.

Granted the tickets aren't expensive, they were however clearly trying to scam us into paying twice. We certainly do not look like we are from the area and easy targets, however we had a Mexican with us that spoke fluent spanish and understood the whole situation.

Take a picture of your ticket just in case.

Busses are the most efficient way of traveling any distance unless of course air is available. Stations are more centrally located than with airports. I bought a ticket to Cancun City for 89 pesos the night before I left. No crowd at all.
Busses seem to run about every hour.

This place is always always so busy. Buy your tickets ahead of time to beat the crowds and if you can't, then get there early. Staff are friendly and helpful. Most speak some English.
