Such a great place right off the beach. They’ve got comfortable beds, great views of the ocean . Their staff was very helpful and friendly. There’s are two pools one of them which has a swim up bar. The food was absolutely delicious and they have a wide selection of drinks to choose from even if you get all inclusive!!

Peaceful and inviting. The staff is attentive and friendly. I felt welcomed and at home. The activities director engaged the guests so well; and made us feel apart of their family. Thank you, Natalie.

Amazing views with private access to the Pacific Ocean. The rooms are huge with full kitchen amenities. The workers here are super friendly with great customer service! There's an onsite market if you don't feel like driving to the store. Location is about 15-20 minutes walk downtown.

If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIly. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!

The rooms are very dated and the food is decent. The pool area is nice. What really makes this place nice is the staff is outstanding. So many great people to make your stay great.

I had a great time at Solmar resort. My wife and I went for her birthday, and they upgraded us to a suite. We paid for the all-inclusive package and had great meals and took advantage of the free alcohol as well. Drinks were great. We paid for a couple's massage too, and it was phenomenal. Will definitely be returning!

Solmar is the smaller of the two resorts. O came here for my birthday and the staff treated me and my husband like gold. They upgraded our room for free! We also opted to have the all inclusive package which really made our stay much nicer. I love the location of the resort, but my only complaint is how outdated the rooms are and the lack of an airport shuttle. They have a shuttle system but the one they provide is way over priced. It was actually cheaper for us to rent a car. But other than that Solmar was a lovely place to stay while in Cabo!

We were there three years ago and wanted to know what has changed. We had a studio room last time and loved all of the staff - they were extremely friendly. This time around, we are going to be in the one bedroom because it has two bathrooms and a little more room. I am hoping to get a room as close as I can to the pool bar. I'll write a follow up review once I'm back to let you know if this trip was as great as my last trip there.

Great adult resort. The all inclusive package is a must. With multiple pools, restaurants, and excellent food, this is a true gem of a resort. Although you can't swim in the ocean, Lovers Beach is about a 25 minute hike down the beach.
You will have to some moderate rock climbing to get there, but that's part of the fun!
Service is phenomenal! The property is secluded and quiet. We'll definitely be back.

This a great little resort for adults. There are really no amenities for kids, and hence, there are never any kids around.

The buildings are old. They always have plumbing issues of some sort, mainly slow draining drains. They are as far as it gets from the airport and taxi fare is like $80 to get there. You can't swim in the ocean.

But, all the negatives don't even begin to change my mind when it comes to rating this place.
The beach is huge. There are rarely any people on it. You can walk to the south end and see the beautiful rocks, or climb over them and go to the Lover's beach via land route.
If you are on a all-inclusive plan, food never stops and it is pretty tasty. Everything is made to order - no buffets. Well, other than once a week Fiesta night when they do Mexican food buffet with entertainment - singers and dancers. You can get decent sushi every day, and pretty much everything on the menu is tasty.
Last time we went, we opted not to do the all-inclusive and just ate simple food in the room, but we walked the city every day searching for best tacos in Cabo San Lucas. Every time I go there, I gain 7-10lbs in a week, and we tried avoiding that this time :). Marina and stores are a 10 minutes walk, and rooms have everything you need to make your own margaritas - other than booze :)

Bets kept secret of Cabo for a relaxing vacation.

We had to book at another hotel for one night immediately following tropical storm Lidia and we chose Solmar. Our only regret is not having stayed here sooner. Absolutely fell in love with the place. The staff was amazing and our room was outstanding. This hotel/resort is what Baja used to be and should still be. Just a beautiful, laid back, no pressure atmosphere.

Food is delicious but expensive so recommend the all inclusive. The drinks are the only reason I took a star away. They come out of a machine and taste cheap and syrupy. No fresh pina colada or margarita, just stick to beer.

    Overall not bad..
But if your on the younger side (20s or 30s) you might want a place that is more lively. This is a relaxing place. There do have a lot of rules like no taking food from restaurants or drinks. Even if your all inclusive.
We would recommend Sandos.. they are more accommodating.

Food was ok, not that impressed with the Tejeban restaurant at all. There was plastic and toothpicks buried in my food. The only thing that was great was the french toast. Drinks were mostly sugar and very light on the alcohol. Service was alright.

The concierge was helpful. I wouldn't come back though based on the overall experience.

Nice relaxed resort. We did the all inclusive and the poolside service was great. Food and drinks were much better than other all inclusives we've been to. A la carte for the most part. The beach was quiet and free of vendors and beautiful as any in Cabo. Bed and room were very comfortable. Easy walk to downtown. Biggest downside was having to wait for and sign a receipt for every little thing. Even grabbing a bottle of water from the bar was a five minute ordeal. Also, while most of the staff were great, some were pretty unpleasant. When you work in food service it's generally not a good idea to make your customers feel like they're bothering you when they come up to order something. Other than that we had a great time!

Small, clean, very well staffed. Restaurants are good food. Nighttime buffet food was just about inedible. If you are a drinker, I highly recommend the All Inclusive. Swim up bar!

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked this hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around

The staff are kind and EXCELLENT. The pools are real nice. The rooms are very spacious and nice. I would definitely go back and stay here. The marina is walking distance from the hotel. Grand Solmar is for couples in my opinion. Its a pretty quiet retreat but over all I would give it a A+.
