We scuba diver from a boat that left from this beach. It is trendy, right in the heart of downtown Cabo. There are activities and rentals. It is gorgeous! And busy.
Medano beach is very close to downtown, and has beautiful views of the ocean. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, and it was super crowded. There were vendors all over the place, trying to sell me different things. If you want a close, convenient beach with nice views, this beach will do. If you're looking for space and privacy, this beach is not for you. Either way, Medano beach is a place you should go to while you're in Cabo, so you can check the box to say you've been there, if nothing else.
Only swimable beach in Baja del Sur, Los Cabo, Mexico. It's also known as the Sea of Cortez. This area is beautiful all around. The weather is sunny over 90% of the time each year. I will also give you a small warning and please keep this in mind because I know first hand about this. If the waves are strong, be very careful about going in the water. My wife almost became a widow on our honeymoon because I didn't take the warning signs first hand. All in all, it's a great place to come too. I've come twice and will be back again.
If you are in Los Cabos you most likely to go to this beach for a stroll, or for a meal at one of the many restaurants beside or to get a water taxi or for the water activities or you just happen to stay beside it. If you are looking for a nice and quiet secluded beach, don't bother to go here.
Beautiful! Lots of vendors but they usually left you alone after they cycled through you Very convenient public beach. We hung out in front of the private residences on the beach north of the office. Loved it!!
Beautiful clear waters and relatively clean beach. In some places the water can get rough but many of the resorts put out flags to signal the conditions of the day. The worst part is the buskers. They harass you every 2-5 mins with their wares. I recommend a book or headphones if you want some peace or pay to rent a resort lounge chair.
Quiet beach all year. Bars and restaurants. Waiters attending in the beach.
Nice beach but really crowded! A great place to go if you are looking to drink, party and socialize, but not a place to relax.
Ok nice clean
Some of the beaches in Cabo San Lucas are not swimmable, but Medano is! We spent two lovely afternoons there, at Sur. The water was super clean, had an amazing emerald green color, there weren't any waves and the temperature was really nice. Definitely recommend it!
The water was beautiful here. Lots of vendors bugging you every 10 mins. Kinda annoying but you tune it out and focus on the beautiful Sea of Cortez in front of you ;)
Great atmosphere, good spring break location, lots of people and activities to take part in
Una playa muy divertida donde puedes ir a tomar el sol, nadar o deportes acuáticos con una hermosa vista.
Comfortable fine sand, persistent vendors selling you everything from bracelets to hats. Clean waters with crab crawling all over the place and sea life is abundant within eye sight. Need to apply sales-repellant next time before visiting.
Excelente playa conocer muy concurrida por extranjeros mar tranquilo para bañarse es un clásico y obligado a a quien visita cabo
We spend a lot of time on the beach and in the water here. We love it here especially by Cabo Villas where we stay.
