A fundamental place to understand the evolution of Mexican muralists, and especially Rivera early work. The building is not spectacular, but it is amazing to see how painters took advantage of awkward surfaces to emphasize contents.

This place is a "must see". First off, it's free (you must sign in). Go during off hours and 1 1/2 hours before closing and you might get the whole place to yourself. Here you will find an extensive collection of murals by Diego that present a narrative of Mexican society/history; the top floor is a collection of communist propaganda. The artwork is simply amazing. I was moved by the beauty of this government building.

Many nice murals on 3 floors around large rear patio. Entrance on Calle Brazil. Few tourists.
