  WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! We booked our car directly through the NU Car Rentals website. They called to confirm when they’d pick us up, but when we finally arrived they told us that they were sorry but we’d have to find other car rental because they could no longer accommodate us. They charged us, confirmed they’d be there, and then completely bailed on us, leaving us to find another car rental, at a more expensive rate.
  
  Thanks for absolutely nothing, NU Car Rentals! I’d give zero stars if I could.

  Toda una ESTAFA. Que pena por Expedia por poner estas compañías en su lista de proveedores de servicios . Es mejor decir un precio verdadero que andar con puras mentiras . Nunca más alquiló un auto en Cancún por culpa de estos individuos

  Nu Car Rental is the worst car rental ever. Once we arrived at the Cancun Aiport, we could not find their representative since the instructions they gave us were lacking information. After waiting an hour, we were finally picked up by a van which made multiple pit stops in other car rental offices until we arrived at the Nu Car Rental office. Once we got there, the manager told us that we needed to pay a higher price than we were supposed to pay since we booked through Expedia (Expedia told us that the price was final and there would be no surprises). Moreover, the manager told us that the collision and damage insurance we paid through Expedia was not valid in Cancun, Mexico, and started to charge us different types of insurances to only have a HIGHER price at the end of the booking. At last, we decided to not rent with Nu Car Rentals and try another car rental around the area so we politely asked the manager to drop us back at the airport. The manager told us that he could not make that arrangement and that we need to make our own arrangements. We started to walk in the direction of a money exchange office to get a taxi and ended up renting with Enjoy Car Rental (great local car rental btw!). So do yourself a favor and do not rent with Nu Car Rental! Negative 5 stars, indeed!

  This place is a whole lot of lies and deceptions. We reserved our car through Nü car rentals from their website. At first we though we were getting a deal with their rate, come to find out that it’s a total scam.
  
  They called us two days before your reservation to confirm our rental. They gave us instructions on what to do once we landed in Cancun and how we were going to get picked up by a different agency that would drop us off that their office. Upon arrival, no one was there to pick us up. Red flag #1, considering that they asked for our flight number so they should have been 100% aware of our flight arrival. We asked around and some of the other agencies reps told us that they’re office was already closed and that they didn’t have any cars anymore. Mind you, this whole time my fiancé was trying to reach them on the phone and they hung up on him a couple of times. Red flag #2. It was late and we were exhausted so we grabbed a taxi and called it a night. The following day when we called back to see if they would honor the rental agreement they had the nerve to tell us that we were marked as a no show and that the only cars available where SUVs and Trucks. (We reserved a sedan) To top it off, they wanted to charge us $400 more dollars for 2 less days then the original reservation.
  
  Total disappointment. Please save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else or just take the bus.
  Negative 5 stars.

  Long wait at airport. Forced me to buy very expensive collision insurance even though I had my own. Rental ended up costing double what I thought. Very deceptive.

  Excellent customer service! Personalized and honest, charges were explained up front in detailed, rented a minivan in Cancun and had no issues at all from the time we contacted Javier Alcazar at NU Rent car in Cancun we were treated with respect, vehicle was clean and in good conditions, rented it at the airport and returned at the Hotel Zone, Javier was a great friendly customer service rep! Thanks Javier for your services!
