  This place almost escaped us! Don't let the outside fool you, it's full of wonderful exhibits and artifacts. Was one of the best parts of our trip! You must go!

  Compact but complete presentation of the geology of Baja California, including astronomical and geological history, from Big Bang thru separation of Baja from the west coast of Mexico from 10 - 5 Mya. (South most separation occurred at the Bay of Banderas, Puerta Vallarta.) The rock collection is great, for those interested in the variety of igneous and sedimentary rocks nearby. Too bad it doesn't have a short history of Cabo rocks, like the grand granites extending to the tip of Cabo/Love Point.) The exhibits of early (indigenous) occupants of Cabo is also informative. An unexpected treat.
