I recently spent 2 days at he Marisol Boutique Hotel while travelling north to the La Ventana area for my winter Kite Surfing trip. I use this hotel frequently both arriving and leaving Mexico for the past 4 years.
This hotel is not fancy but it is clean comfortable and perfectly located in San Jose Del Cabo. It is fairly priced, the owners are like family in their treatment of guests. Their staff are courteous and friendly.
The restaurant below the hotel serves a perfect American breakfast.
On this last trip the airlines lost some of our baggage. We needed to stay an extra night or more in hopes of our baggage being found and catching up to us. Words can't describe the helpfulness of the owners in making sure we would have a room during this stressful period and in helping us communicate with airlines staff. Small hotel, 8 rooms in total, but beautiful and tastefully decorated a couple of them even have ocean view, and very reasonably priced. Within walking distance to shopsand the beach. The staff is very helpful, and the owner is on site a lot of the time, and she will do anything to make your stay great.
I highly reccomend it to anyone visiting San Jose del Cabo.response / report this review -

Great spot close to the ocean. The owner, Marisol, is helpful and has great tips about local eateries and the best beaches around. Free parasol, beach chair and beach towel rentals. Highly recommended.

Nothing fancy but clean, spacious, comfortable and functional rooms with all basic amenities plus some extras (plates, fridge)

Very loud noises from the other rooms. Our air conditioner was not working. It was hot, we couldn't sleep.No one was available to inform. They would work with us to discount our room. It was our second time staying there. More than likely won't stay agai

The most helpful and accommodating hotel staff I've ever met, amazing people, went above and beyond for every request we had, there are great tacos and fine dining just up the street and walking to the beach was easy. Place was super clean when we arrived and kept clean the whole time. Unbelievable value for the money

Loved this place! My room was immaculate, spacious, the bed was perfect and the AC was quiet and cool. It is about a block from the beach and two of the rooms have a nice, indirect beach/sea view. Marisol and Guillermo were perfect hosts, with great information on restaurants and stuff. Since it is a smaller hotel, you really get great service.
It was hard to find the first time, it is directly above CJ's New York Deli which is just west of Cynthias. Just tell the cab driver that is on Paseo Malecon just south of the Mega and that will get you within a block of the place. It is in the two story building with the round "lighthouse" on top.response / report this review -

Beautiful place. Folks are so friendly and nice. Very comfortable rooms. Regular sized beds but 2 of them so not crowded. Comfortable AC. Bring a wash cloth as there is none! Cynthias organic restaurant is just around the corner. Generous helpings, reasonably priced. Also restaurant under the hotel. You will not go wrong here!!!
