Free museum that is one short walk from the park. It is very, very small but has some interesting artifacts. Spent a few minutes here. The information is in Spanish.

This is a quaint museum in Vallidolid that houses history about the area, with a number of displays and archeological pieces. The museum is free and close to the zocalo, so despite the descriptions only being in Spanish it is worth a brief visit. There is even a small garden to sit in. The boy at the desk will ask you to fill out a register (name/country etc)

It’s very basic, doesn’t hurt to walk through but a visitor should not expect much. The central yard is peaceful.

Small, free, and in an old church. The church yard is also quite lovely and was completely empty when I visited.

That said, if you don't speak spanish, you won't be able to understand the material on display - there's no enlish here except for the introductory panel outside the front door.

Excellent job addressing Mayan and colonial history, and where that leaves us now.

Interesting free museum with comprehensive data about Yucatan/Valladolid region. The information is oriented maybe to Mexican citizens with some knowledge on the history of the country. Nevertheless, it is a good experience

Museo muy pequeño. Tiene pocas cosas, aunque todo lo que cuenta sobre la historia de Valladolid y de Yucatán es muy interesante. No pude terminar la visita porque había demasiados mosquitos que no paraban de picarme. Así que si van en época de mosquitos, mejor lleven repelente.
