The kitchen closes at 10pm but yet we arrived at 9:45pm ask for a sandwich, no cooking or frying, just a quick bread, Meat, cheese slap together. DENIED! FOOD! Now does that sound like a "Quest-house" accommodation??? No, I think NOT!

We decided to stay here (in July, 2016) when we came to visit Chichen Itza from Cancun, based on a friend's recommendation. It was a fabulous, not your typical hotel kind of stay. The hotel is filled with local art and the rooms have paintings on the wall too. The rooms were clean and spacious, staff super friendly and the adjoining restaurant was awesome too. There was some event in the town center that night but they lock the main gate of the place at 10pm. So, the owner gave us an extra key to let ourselves in in case we get late :)

We also had some long conversations with the owner and people there, with recommendations on what all could be done nearby. So, overall a very interesting stay too! Totally recommend staying here if visiting nearby.

Incredible place, authentic, magic, central, with magnificent huge suites, wonderful staff (Freddie, Ana and others), and of course the best host and owner Denis Larsen! Highly recommended! !

Nice place, but be careful with reservations, as the owner Denis is rather tricky. We found a better price through airbnb than we actually got, because lack of availability? There were 80% empty rooms at our arrival Hmm. Also a bit stupid that you have to pay extra for eggs or so at breakfast. All credits go to Karina, a helpful staff member who keeps this place on the map of good overnight opportunities when in Valladolid town

Spent a week here. Denis, the owner, is great company. Lovely place, the dining area overlooking a small rainforest that fairy lights illuminate at night. The restaurant serves an excellent choice of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and the staff are delightfully friendly.
