Absolute disgrace. 50 pesos to park the car for my wife and I. So far so good. Now 100 pesos each as access is private. Now we get to the beach for lunch and a slew of regulations. It’s now a national
Park but is totally built up so defeats the object of the exercise. No longer can the locals get to THEIR beach. Won’t be back, don’t go!!! If we’d ordered two loungers another 300 pesos. 550 pesos to get wet in the ocean. DONT GO
The food was fantastic! Try the coconut shrimp, it won’t disappoint. Neither will the el pastor nachos. The wait staff was world class and you can’t beat the view of the ocean and beach. I would visit again!
We had a nice meal and the entertainment and service was very good. The prices were high but if price is no object and location is key this is the place. If you have a meal here you can park in the area and access the beach.
The owner of this restaurant has effectively shut down the entire beach front putting up fencing so you cannot access the beach. They are charging $5 US per person to access the beach regardless if you plan to eat at their restaurant. You also have to pay separately for parking your car. This is not the Akumal you have historically visited and loved. It seems far more Cancun-ish now.
The locals told me there is a lawsuit against the owner right now to try to reopen the beach to the public. They expect to win the lawsuit, but said it will take many months to finalize.
I have eaten at this restaurant off and on for the past 15 years. The food is okay but nothing great. Drinks are also mediocre. Prices are on the high side for this area.
Great food here at Lol Ha, and we also received great service from a few different Waiters. We enjoyed our food and our evening out. I would recommend it
Not too bad but overpriced. For a good burrito better choose "LA COQUETA" in Tulum
Really poor location. Drinks are far to extensive, stuff is unfriendly, you have to for the toilet when you have eaten and had a drink at the bar. Worst place in Mexico so far, do NOT go there!
Best beach restaurant in the Riviera Maya. Eating breakfast on the veranda with a view of the bay always makes me feel like I'm living the millionaire life!
Lol-ha is a large palapa restaurant with a wide menu. Unfortunately, most food we've had from it isn't very good. Drinks pretty good, however. Best to go for drinks and apps at happy hour, if at all.
Nothing beats early breakfast on the terrace facing the sea. Best way to start your day. Great breakfast choices.
Nice views of the beach. The food was very tasty, specially the ceviches.
Waiters serve fast, this seems to be rare in the area.
The people here are so nice!!! I loved coming here because it was always friendly and the food was consistently good. They are such a great all around establishment.
This place is amazing! The food and drinks are GREAT, and the wait staff is even better!! I went here several times while in the area and every dish I tried was good. The view of the ocean while eating makes everything even better. I'd definitely recommend anyone going to Akumal to go to Lol Ha.
great location, beautiful beach/ambiance, but slow service and so-so food.
Enjoyed it very much. Right on the beach so lots of fun people watching. Good food and good service. Would go back.
We stayed at the associated motel for three days in January. Breakfast starts with a plate of fruit - cantaloupe, papaya, pineapple, and watermelon - followed by bacon and eggs, etc. Good coffee too. The supper favorites were the fresh fish fillet, ceviche, and pasta. Prices are reasonable. You can sit outdoors or inside depending on the sun and breeze.
Love this place. Guacamole is amazing. Also the snacks are great for an afternoon of people watching.
Best margarita I've ever tasted; it was made with tamarind fruit. We were there just about sunset and the colors were great. The conchita pibil pork was outstanding. Very good service. We'll be back.
