The best restaurant in Playa by far! The food is very good and so is the service. Have been here 4 times and it's always consistent. The curry dishes are very tasty.
If you are searching on Open Table to get reservations and it shows they are unavailable, try calling them directly. Thye likely have roomthey have some problem with OpenTable.

This place is nice. The servers were very attentive, making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our food. You might need to make a reservation, we happened to walk by and they had a table available. However, if you are planning for a large party I would highly recommend you reserve a table. I ordered the vegetable curry, and It was good. My husband ordered the filet mignon curry, and it was over cooked. I was not very impressed with the Curry’s we ordered, although their presentation was very impressive. They had many other exotic options, but we were not brave enough to try them. However, their desert was delicious! The restaurant is a bit pricey, but you are paying for solid food, nice atmosphere and friendly servers.

This was simply our best restaurant visit while in Playa Del Carmen. Quaint little restaurant situated in what appears to be an old house. The dishes were spectacular from a wide range of cuisine. The wine list was affordable and well selected. The service was delightful and we would definitely go back next time around!

We were very late diners that night, the last ones there. The food and service were still spectacular. Best dining experience in Playa.

During a family vacation to Playa del Carmen (in the middle of a Tropical Storm) we came to Oh Lala! for dinner. It was a very good experience.

Service was great, they were really attentive and willing to chat. The restaurant is a small cozy place but food was great. Their menu is international mixing some french cuisine with other international dishes (curry for example).

We were 5 and all ordered different dishes: Filet Mignon with Red Wine Sauce, Filet Mignon with Bernaise Sauce, Buttered Tuna, Rack of Lamb and Sea Bass Special. Plus two very good desserts: Chocolate Mousse (although should actually be renamed Chocolate Fondant) and a lemon cream with passion fruit sorbet. Plus two bottles of red wine and 2 bottles of water.

It is fairly priced (~$60 pp including tax and tip).

If you are planning to come to Playa del Carmen and looking for a nice dinner, on the fancier side this is definitely selection.

Incredible food!! Took my fiancé here for his birthday and it was one of the best meals we've both had (and we are foodies). The foie gras special for the night was well made and the spreads that went along with it complimented it perfectly. My tuna was delicious and soft, and his lamb chops were cooked perfectly to his specifications. They brought out a very creamy, fantastic cheesecake for dessert! Loved it!!!

Amazing experience! The best meal we had in Mexico, and the service was impeccable. The hostess, waiter, and everyone else who worked there worked hard to make us feel welcome. My wife and I shared a plate, and the brought it out on two plates for us (no plating fee), with clearly an extra helping on each. The food itself was phenomenal. They then found out we were on an anniversary trip, and they surprised us with free dessert (amazing cheesecake!!) on a "Congratulations" plate.
This restaurant is a must for Playa Del Carmen visitors. Keep in mind that It's expensive and I would also recommend making a reservation ahead of time (we did, and most tables looked booked). Perfect for a final, romantic dinner!

Maybe I was expecting too much, but since it's #1 restaurant in PDC by TripAdvisor, I raised my expectations. The food was just average. Cheesecake was the best part of the meal. Surprisingly, not the most expensive place in town. There are places with more pleasant and friendly stuff around.

We recently celebrated an anniversary here and had a wonderful experience. The food, staff and atmosphere were all positively wonderful. It's a small place and can be hard to get in but be persistent! They will put you on the list and contact you in event of cancellation. Definitely worth the effort to get a table here. AMAZING.

Walked to the restaurant to find a fair number of empty tables outside without any indication of being reserved and a table of 4 and another of 2 inside reserved.

Upon being greeted, we were told without a reservation, there would be no accommodating a table of four yet people behind us were immediately ushered in to a table without a reserved sign. Annoyed, we turned to walk away while the gentleman tried to explain they had broken reserved signs. First - I've owned a number of places that seated a far greater number of patrons and I would NEVER think to have a reserved table without any signage. Handwritten is the very worst you could do when you've already identified others as reserved. Tacky. Poor taste. Poor management. Second - clearly he knew that how he handled us was COMPLETELY inappropriate (as he chided us for not referring to his webpage rather than sites like Google - that's right - now insult the customer) and tried to make amends by following us to the street to offer other suggestions and explain his behavior. I certainly would not use any restaurant he would refer me to after that because he would get credit for our business to the next location. Third - found the perfect little Italian restaurant less than a block away who were authentic, attentive and more than happy to accommodate us and our rather large bill. Thank you for blowing it so terribly so I can now tell everyone about our wonderful evening after we left your location.

    - signed well traveled world travelers (Asia, Europe, Middle East, South Pacific, Central America, South America and Africa)

The food was some of the best I've ever had. The butter soy tuna steak was unbelievable. If I am ever back in Playa Del Carmen I will definitely be eating here again.

Very good food and service. I was cold and ask if they had soup. They did not but deferred the air conditioning away from me. Came back a few minutes later and said the chef would make soup especially for me. Wonderful experience
