Great prices for the view and food you get. Food was amazing and staff are good at speaking English and friendly.

Food and service was fantastic. Highly recommend as a great place for dinner. Sit up top for wonderful view. It is right at the corner on north beach on "busy" road so plenty of golf cart and people watching. Little Harley parade went by while we were eating (some with Christmas decorations). Please like if you find this helpful.

A welcomed cool and shady interior on a hot afternoon. Cold beer and good selection on the menu. I recommend the Cesar's salad with fresh lettuce and tender grilled chicken. Friendly wait staff, prompt service.

The food was absolutely amazing! The mozzarella sticks put every other mozzarella stick I have ever eaten to shame. I was with a large group, each one of us ordered something different - EVERYONE absolutely loved their food.
The food and service was so great, my husband and I made a trip to the island two days later to visit this restaurant before we left! Again the food and service was wonderful! The drink selection was great too. And awesome prices!!!!

Great place to get my grilled cheese fix (yes I know it's weird) and watch my Stro's play. Not a local dive, but the owners are from Texas so definitely worth the stop.

Dinner with friends, had burgers and beer on the top deck, a bit of a breeze made it quite comfortable.
Not sure you can call $10 burgers and fries good value for money, but both were well prepared and tasty. 45 pesos for a beer is definitely on the high side.

Was told twice in two visits 7 days apart that the wifi was not working even though we showed clear signals on our cellular devices(most restaurants happily give you the wifi password because we recommend their restaurant online while there). American football was on which drew loud obnoxious Americans which we came here to get away from but the review is not based completely on that. We did have good service both nights. Food was average. If you order peel and eat shrimp make sure you order ice to put ontop or you cannot peel the hot shrimp that's supposed to be cold(same issue both visits).

We ate here twice during our week long stay on the island. This place lost a star based on service alone. The first time we got there around 7:30 PM and we were one of 3 tables. We got our first (and only) round of drinks pretty quickly and ordered food. While waiting for our food a party of 8 arrived. A family that was there when we arrived was finishing up, leaving my son and I, the 2nd table which had 5 female "locals" (people of hispanic origin - there's a reason I mention that) and the party of 8.
Once we received our food that was the last of we saw our server. The girls got impeccable service, they never had to ask for refills or anything, I attributed that to the lack of language barrier until the party of 8 arrived and it became clear that my son and I became irrelevant because our meager party of 2 clearly wouldn't be tipping as much.my son and I were never asked if we wanted anything else, we had to go out of our way to get our empty plates cleared and had to eventually ask for our check
at least the food was good. My 17 year old son is a total burger snob and he said this was the best burger he'd ever had; the bite I stole was delicious.
Our 2nd visit wouldn't have happened if that burger hadn't been so good. The service wasn't as bad but that might've been because it was us and a table of 4response / report this review -

When you get homesick or need a place to watch a game from the US, Jax is the spot. The food is not great cuisine. It is comfort food done right. Also, don't pass up their breakfast at least on of your mornings on the island.

Standard American fare in Mexico. I'm not generally interested in that but we were hungry later at night and not a lot is open late on the island and they were right across from our hotel. My complaint is not about the food but rather the service. It was around 930pm and the staff was not happy at all that they had to serve us food 2 hours before they closed. When the host asked if we were there for food or drinks and I said food he rolled his eyes. It also took forever for them to wait on us and serve us even though we were the only people in the restaurant other than one guy drinking beers at the bar. Guess the staff just didn't feel like working that night. That's ok, we won't come back on our next trip to the island.

Service is excellent. Ordered the bucket of beer and it hit the spot after driving around the island in golf carts for a couple of hours. The wife ordered fish tacos and I got the chicken quesadilla.

This place has a great view from upstairs. The food and drinks were pretty good, but nothing is going to blow you away. It is pretty inexpensive though, so I'd definitely go back. Easily worth the money and the quantity you get is pretty generous. After a day of touring around Isla Mujeres this is worth the stop.

Pleasant experiences in the past howevee yesterday was horrible. Poor service! Five people behind bar and i literally had to get up twice to get someone to function. Sports bar with no MMA.
