Had a great time. Did a refresher as I hadn’t dived for 5 years. Very patient and caring. I had a great dive and saw 5 turtles, A barracuda and a variety of fish.

Quick taxi ride from cruise port. Clean shop and equipment appeared to be well maintained and up to date. I did a refresher with Juan and he was awesome. I definitely would recomend them.

Amazing staff! Andrea was the best instructor and Mahahual the perfect place to get certified.
I felt very secure in the skills I learned and everything was explained very clearly.
The reefs are beautiful here, I highly recommend Dr. Dive to anyone interested in SCUBA.
The certification is so fun and you get to see so much along the way. During one of our open water tests, an eagle ray stopped right next to us so we paused to watch it until it left!response / report this review -

My first time diving. During the training, I had some problems clearing my mask. John was patient and helped me through it and made sure I was comfortable doing all the basics before we went into the deep water. Him and Giovani were awesome! I felt safe and calm the entire dive. They were very professional and knowledgeable. The equipment was like new, and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Doctor Dive if you are in Mahahual area.

Truly great team of individuals. Very welcoming, and knowledgeable people. The price to dive was also exceptional compared to other places I have dived, and their equipment was in spectacular condition. Nico was our dive master, he was very informative and attentive to us. I will definitely be coming back!

GREAT EXPERIENCE! Did single tank dive for lionfish. After spearing our catch, we took the fish back to shore where they were prepared in a delicious meal. Everyone in the shop was exceptional. Lots of experience and knowledge. Top notch educational process for those who have never speared before. Staff was very careful to manage our time, so that we got back to our ship in plenty of time. I really enjoyed this dive experience. I've been diving since 1987. My dive experience includes professional dive certification, ocean, river, freshwater springs, cavern, cave and technical. My group (family) had a variety of experience. I would recommend this dive to those with advanced certifications and above. Current was a little strong, but manageable. Dive shop staff was very safety oriented. Booking was easily done through e-mail. This is a must do!

Easy to find from the port with a short shuttle ride. I was a first time diver and the manager (Charles) was our instructor/dive buddy. He made the experience one to remember and made me confident in my dive. Thanks to Doctor Dive I plan to revisit the location and take additional dives with the crew here!

Its a beautiful thing when you receive FABULOUS service, and this was a wonderful experience from start to finish; easy paperwork, affordable rates, carried our gear, provided fantastic dive sites, safe diving, and had refreshments waiting upon our return. They were able to work us in for a dive when another group we were scheduled with backed out at the last minute. What really impressed me, was when we accidently left some equipment at the dive shop, they were still providing great service in getting our gear sent back home to the states. This was days after the dive, long after tips were given, and we had already left the country. I offered to compensate them for the extra work, but they said it wasn't necessary. A great group to work with, Thanks.

The experience was A+++++. Was my second time diving there in Costa Maya. The staff at Dr Dive was very professional, very knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to dive with. As I am not certified, I had to do the intro to scuba dive class with them. I was the only person thaqt went, but they still had the instructor and 3 other divers go with, so a total of 5 of us. Incredible experience, will absolutely dive with these guys again. I was there on a cruise with Carnival, so the amount of time is limited that you have in port, but these guys bent over backwards to make sure I was able to go.

Best diving shop in Mahahual, very friendly and helpful staff, they can make any of your dreams come true 😉. Guys are happy to make your day personal and unforgettable. They are not only professional but also treat you personally and fulfill all your expectations and make you feel safe. Lots of fun too! Doesn't matter if you are beginner or experienced diver, you'll be taking care of. They keep you hydrated with water and other drinks also offer snacks (fruits, cookies). Our guide Juan (Jon😉) totally made our day and went beyond our expectations, highly recommended, definitely would choose them again!

Wonderful experience here! Jon and Alberto were fabulous dive masters who made this experience an A+++! They are quite knowledge about the area, the dives were amazing lots of sea life. Alberto was happy to help my 10yr old nephew complete his 1st 2 certification dives. The equipment works well. All in all great crew= great experience. Another plus it's on a beach for not scuba people and the bar right next door is really cool (bar stools are swings). Definitely want to go back. Only 10 min cab ride from cruise ports

I was in constant contact with them via email, ready to book a dive. They were happy to book the dives, then, next day, then they say they have no opening. No apology, nothing. No way to run a business. Be careful dealing with them, you may show up and are out!

The best recommendations! Especially the instructor Sam, who did the open water course with me. Very patient and enthusiastic, I will definitely recommend this place if you consider doing a Padi certification or a fun dive in safe conditions.

As a master diver with plenty of dives under my belt I'm very impressed with this dive shop and the quality of the dives. The water temperature in late August is about 87°. I wore three mil because I chill easily and I was completely comfortable all three dives. Charlie, the dive master, is one of the best I've ever dove with. He is very organized speaks perfect English and sets your gear up for you even if you brought your own!. And he's a real nice guy. These are smaller boats but the ride to the spur and groove diving reefs is only minutes away. To reenter the boat your BC and tanke are removed and hauled a board by the coxin . A big bonus for people who don't like to climb the ladder with ther tank on your back. He told me he was an expert at identifying small sea life. Boy was he right. I saw some small stuff that I have have over looked in the past. Very awesome. We saw turtles, shark, lobster, crabs, little puffer fish that will take a resting spot in your hand. I'm coming back to this place with another victim.
