GOOD: Nice deserts and salad bar. There are many kinds of cheeses ## NOTE: The green area is not so comfortable during the sunny hours. If your are interested in the green area ask for a reservation ## BAD: There is not enough kind of fish dishes.

Rooms good. Breakfast buffet excellent. Toothbrush/toothpaste and razor available at a cost, unlike most hotels. No pool. Jacuzzi available by appointment.

I've been staying at the Camino Real Santa Fe on business since 2012 and I have to say I'm disappointed. The bathroom is the worst design I've ever seen, there is a single small shelf in the shower and nowhere to hang a towel or washcloth. The towels are on a rack over the toilet which is bisected from the shower by a wall and door.

I had the impression I was being taken advantage of at each stage. The room is supposed to come with a large bottle of water each day. For the first 2 days this happened. Thereafter, I had to use the mini-bar water, or room service, both of which came with a charge. Only if I left a note to leave water, did housekeeping do so.

The cab from my office ran from 50-57 peso's one way. To take a cab from the room cost 120 the first couple of days and then they started charging 220. The following Monday I told them to get me the regular rate cab and we went down to 130. They say this extra charge is because these cabs are "safe" and the drivers speak some English. Only a couple of the drivers spoke fluently, and the cab companies used were at times the same one I was taking From the office. So what is up with the upcharge, and the "whatever the market will bear" approach to cabs?

I expect that I overpaid around $100US for the two weeks I was there just on these miscellaneous charges.

The only saving grace was the spa. The lady that works the spa is friendly and helpful, and in spite of her having no English and my limited Spanish we were able to negotiate the services and cost.
