The Velassaru resort is on of the best resort I have seen in my vists to maledives and othe countries, it is the best if are with family and kids or teenagers because the sports are not so expensive. The water banglw with pool is not private 100% people can see you so it's not romantic and the food for dinner is very expensive so get some lite food with you for kids. In general I recommend it ❤️

It was the best holiday I've ever had. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you having the best time ever, they are always friendly and helpful. The food and cocktaiks was excellent. The location is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are modern, very spacious and super clean. I can highly recommend Velassaru if you're looking for the best holiday you've ever had.

It was a great stay , 5 days of an exelent experience , we were happy from every single detail food, staff, cleanence , facility and services are amazing . All was very good really and we surely plan to go back soon
Only the dive center is not matching with Hotel services, it was bad experience, sites are very normal same like any place in the world, and the staff is not enough friendly to care about the value of people coming to dive in maldive to at least dive in nice sites and places.
We have been in kuda hura and diving center and staff were worry for every dive and every move to see us happy.. Not like here to make you dive without caring about you, and get the fees without real value.. For example in the hotel we heard like 10 times people saying ; are you happy ? We want you happy .. While in dive center nothing happened this way.. Anyhow they lost me as a customer and they lost money by making me stop diving in the middle of my vacation, I could spend much more in diving ..

Sharing me and my wife's experience on our honeymoon via text will not serve this amazing place justice. Every bit of it was heaven on Earth. All the staff were beyond helpful, however, our butler Saeed was very warm and welcoming and added the comfort away from home. Highly recommend this place with and/or without kids. Thank you Velassaru.

This is our 4th Visit here and WOW these people are greatWasantha the chef at Vela just did a sashimi from the Wahoo I cought ant it was just perfect . Rooms cleaned twice a day .

Excellent all inclusive resort. Good for snorkelling and general relaxation. The food is top quality, especially the seafood. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Relaxing spa treatments available. Popular with couples though there are a few kids around too.

Good hotel with a truly amazing service! Everyone there will help you with their attention! (So I have my comparisons with "hight class" hotels on a Maldives, where personal sometimes don't care so much and "cold smile" making feel cold)
So big 5+ for Management of this hotel, they do really their good job with whole personals!

Island close to Male, 25 min speed boat. So the "garbage island" that so many people talking in Internet, not visible and nothing disturbing really. If I will less look comments before my trip, I will be never knew there in a horizon some island for utilization garbage (Any way it's closer to capital city of Male that why)

I put a 4 star only because there no alive reef, for a mask swim discovering (diving not including in my list) of course here so beautiful clear water, so many different colors fish and even baby reef shark around (No dangerous!) But this problem not only of this hotel, all around Male I think. To find amazing snoorcle experience needs far away hotel (like Shangri-La, but service there is terrible !!!)

Awesome, staff were very friendly, food was excellent, location was beautiful. Housekeeping were extra engaging to make sure the room was perfect. I recommend doing some parasailing and other watersports as the team there were also excellent.

Wonderful typical Maldives resort island. When you're there, the main activities are massages, restaurants and beach. There is a good diving center that will take you to a great variety of destinations, up to an hour's boat ride away, so you're almost guaranteed to be able to dive everyday in a different spot, weather permitting of course.
Don't plan to go to other islands, as the shuttle pricing makes it very unrealistic (you are captive market to the numerous restaurants and bars on THIS island).

We spent fives days there, and were feeling a bit of cabin fever on the fourth day, so I can't imagine a full week in such a bland paradise

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here. It was absolutely amazing. The island had spectacular views. We stayed at both the beach villa with pool and water villa with pool. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We had an all inclusive package and was able to divulge in drinks and food to our pleasing. The food was amazing and we found Teppanyaki and Sand to be the best to eat at for dinner. There were many activities to partake in and we happen to be able to para sail, go on a dolphin tour, and even kayak everyday. For people who like snorkeling, the corals and reef life is great and very active. I would recommend this place to anyone on the fence about going to Maldives.
