As you know Maldivian islands are really next to heaven. If you love white sand and crystal water all over then it's the perfect place for you. Kurumba resorts is on the very first island that comes after the main island that is MALE (Airport Island) so it's quite easy to reach within few minutes which would save your lots of money for transfers.
The island is full of natural beauty with restaurants and different room categories.
It's highly recommend if you're planning for Maldives vacation.
It's a request to Kurumba that please add water villas/over the water villas as they are the single thing which is lacking in Kurumba otherwise it's next to paradise.

5 stars will come with some additional improvement on services in the restaurant..

AMAZING!
Loved every minute.
The room was great, short walk to the beach.
Fantastic buffet. From the breakfast to dinner all good!
Nice bar for a drink and dance at night time. I've loved my cocktail with a view and good live music.
Absolutely love everything. Thankfull!

This resort is a paradise , 7mins far from the airport by speed boat. Very family friendly place, with lots of activities and amazing white sand beaches .. good location for snorkeling, less for diving.. you can find 5 different restaurants, with acceptable food selections.. Highly recommend if you planning shorter trip to Maldives and don’t want spend time on additional transport to further islands.. only one negative point, occasional noise from departing planes..

Peaceful, Tranquil and Absolutely lovely to spend quality time with your loved ones. (No loud tour crowds.)
The Spa was great, very relaxing and the Buffet for lunch & dinner spread was awesome.
Numerous waters activities to try out. I've seen lots of Honeymoon couples there!!

Everything you need in one place. Impeccable service. Beautiful surroundings. It's an oasis. Recommended for couples and families. Its very near to airport so saves a lot of inward travel time.

Well maintained resort in Maldives, Loved the hospitality provided, rooms were cleanly maintained. We have booked beach view villa, Enjoyed the beauty of the sea from the room. The staffs are friendly and helping. They have limited veg options in Buffet, but they will prepare some veg items on request. It has well maintained gym(free), Spa(It cost you), indoor and outdoor sports activities. If you are looking for some adventure, you can do scuba diving, kayaking, sailing. They have sunset and dolphin cruise(Costs you).

Enjoyed the stay over there.

Although We stayed for 1 night, we enjoyed our time there.
We had beach villa with full beach view all inclusive, it was amazing.

I recommend this resort to whoever wants to go to Maldives for the first time.

An experience par excellence ! It is an expensive experience for an Indian but worth it. So serene and pristine is the island that one would wish one settles on it. The prices on booking websites may not indicate it but they don't include the 23.2% GST that is applicable to almost everything one purchases not only in Kurumba but in the Maldives. The basic rooms at Kurumba itself are really good. I'm posting pictures.

I had the most wonderful, enjoyable experience with Kurumba the entire duration of my stay! The staff is friendly and genuinely care about the guests' happiness, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy! There are tons of options for great food and plenty of fun things to do! It was definitely an experience I'll never forget, and I can't wait to be back!

This is an excellent place with kind people and good food. An oldest currort in Maldives but when you walk around you would never say it. Everything is in superb conditions. Many facilities for guests (gym, SPA) that makes enjoyable time when weather is creepy ;) it is really worth visiting

Perfect in every way u can imagine, I booked the deluxe pool villa,which is very spacious you can accommodate two kids comfortabley in it, good food, it's perfect for children as they have a great recreational activities for the young ones,the beaches are clean, staff are super friendly, my favourite part is that unlike other resorts in Maldives they will let you know of all the hidden charges in the meal packages depending what u choose.
The resort doesn't have water villas but I didn't mind as my deluxe pool very was perfect and had direct access to an amazing beach.
The resort is very close to make city (15 min speed boat ride).

If you are wondering if Kurumba is the right hotel for you and if Maldives is the right destination read this :
Maldives facts:
1- Maldives are quite islands no matter what the hotel tells you it's a lively hotel that is full of activities.. it's only ranges between (dead to quiet island)
2-Maldives have a very nice beaches, you will find a beach front room more easily in Maldives more than any other islands..
3-do you hate geckos? Maldives are not the right place fir you.

Kurumba facts:
1-a quiet hotel 2-3 days to spend here is enough.
2-clean rooms
3-ok services
4-ok activities
5-ok for kids
6-restaurants are ok
7-gym is not good but ok
8-some places are smelly around the reception area
9-we had to change our reservation the hotel wasn't helpful

BRILLIANT HOTEL!! The only thumbs down I will give about this hotel is the food. But other than that, I think that it is one of the best hotels of the world. And the view is PERFECT!

Been here twice and have loved every minute of it. The staff are so friendly that we look forward to going back just to catch up with the people we made friends with last time. I think depending on what side of the Island you are on will mean different experiences, we were not on the side that faces the airport so had great views. Great choice in food and drink, lots of activities although you do need to pay more for these. Most people that holiday here are easy to get on with, the Russians are to be avoided as we always find them rude towards the staff but that is not the fault of the resort. Really easy to get to from the airport via free boat transfer (15mins) arranged by the hotel. Can't wait to go back.

A great choice for a Maldivian holiday, staff is absolutely wonderful, good array of restaurants and food, very relaxing place with nice lounge bar and music in the evenings, great spots for snorkelling only few meters away from the beach. Rooms of choice should be Deluxe, right in front of the beach. Whether wishing just to relax in a full therapy mood or have dynamic days with plenty activities(manta ray or dolphin cruise), Kurumba is the place. Proximity to Male gives the advantage of a good variety of food and closeness to the airport, whereas the downside would be the noise from planes or boats and the view towards the buildings on the main island. However, we were not bothered by these at all, barely heard the sound of planes.

The only downside was hearing the air planes every so often. After staying at a non-service oriented resort in the Maldives for a week, going to Kurumba was just what the doctor ordered. There was plenty of snorkeling, the rooms super clean, and the service is everything a 5 star hotel should be.

We were staying at the neighbouring island resort Sheraton Full Moon, but the kind people at Kurumba allowed us to visit as their guests for a few hours. This looks like a really classy and well run establishment.

Great old resort.. Staff, service, food all excellent. Rooms large and airy. Lots of activities, great for kids

But as it's close to Male, you will not get that blissful pristine isolated tropical island feeling.. a lot of the surrounding coral is dead, though you will still see a fair amount of marine lifeViews of the ocean interrupted by shipping..

First time to visit Maldives and I wish we would have stayed longer!!!! The facilities, amenities, activities, beaches, water and staff were all top-notch and amazing! Plenty to do to keep your day busy. But, also very relaxing. Nightly entertainment, open air and beach bars.basically everything thing a tropical island could offer! I wouldn't consider this a negative but for feedback purposes and to help future guests to plan, it is on the expensive side. Plan to spend at least $2,000 for a superior room, meals, drinks, activities and what ever shopping you may do for a couple for 4 days, but well worth it for the experience at a remote tropical paradise!!! Special shout out to staff members Rippe, Jamaal and April for being so awesome!!
