The staff were very friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for us. Food fabulous. Lovely for a lazy beach holiday. Would recommend it.
The most beautiful holiday we've ever had. Lovely beaches, crystal clear water, fantastic food and very friendly personal. Unforgettable moments by snorkeling at the house coral reef.
Most beautiful beach I have ever experienced. Clean white beaches that lead down into fish rich waters. The Lagoon side (sun rise) drops away quickly but has a resident green turtle and a couple of big rays to amuse. On the sunset side, large weed beds full of fish lead to the coral reef and drop. Black tipped reef sharks, large parrot fish, and hundreds of angel fish fill the reef. Plus the magnificent Manta Ray off the pier.
It is a paradise ‼️
It was a 14days of the best holidays ever - honeymoon
When we arrived they made a special welcome with homemade drinks (delicious 🍹)
And they prepared a bottle of wine 🍷and fruit basket upon our arrival with bed decoration
Then on the second day we have received bottle of champagne 🍾 From the hotel❤️
Also Olhuveli beach & spa gave us a 15min massage at sun spa per person
Additionally they offered us a romantic candle-lit dinner at Four Spices restaurant 🥂💞
Things to do :
*lucky dolphin safari 🐬 - it was fantastic experience to see them
*snorkling safari, we were snorkelling with turtles 🐢 And beautiful fishes 🐠🐟🐡🐠 on 3 different reefs
*wind surf, 🏄🏼♀️🏄🏼
*jet ski,
*night fishing,
*local island discovery,
*kayaks, paddle boards, 🛶 Which we were using everyday :)
Essential is to mention that they have home reef and you can do snorkelling whenever you want 😍🐢🐡🐠🐟😊
Unlimited use of fully equipped gym, tennis court, table tennis, billard, snooker, badminton, beach volleyball & darts
Staff on that island are extremely nice smiling all the time so friendly ‼️
Food was very delicious
I cried when I was leaving this island - I hope to go there again
Thank you Olhuveli for the best holidays ever 💕
Picturesque is the word, that come to mind when I think of this place, we chose this place as our honeymoon destination, due to some personal reason we were not able to go on planned date, and was delayed by almost 2 months, thanks to my agent & resort guys they rescheduled it with minimum charges. We stayed in beach side & water villa, both type have its own experience, water villa is quite secluded & a bit far from the main resort. Out of 2 pools, Infinity is better, with being just beside the beach & the bar, gets you scenic view with the drinks. The staff here are very courteous. Over all it was amazing experience, the only thing this place lacks is limited options for vegetarians.
Excellent place. Staff amazing food amazing I can't say a bad thing about the place. Some people have moaned about the seaweed. But without it you don't get the fish or the turtles.
The property wasn't bad. They had an amazing spa. The problem is, you are marooned on the atoll. Being from the states you can get the same experience in the Keys or the Caribbean for a fraction of the price. This was the first hotel I stayed in at the Maldives. I just didn't think it was a good value for the price.
Magical island resort. Some of older properties a little tired. Service very pleasant but erratic. Great for snorkelling amazing 'fishtank', just dont be too surprised by the Rays !!
It was my first visit to the Maldives and I loved my 7 night stay at Olhuveli. The island is beautiful and well maintained and considering there are 250 guests residing there is feels relatively quiet. The buffet meals could be a little bit of a bun fight, but you need to remember you're not paying premium Maldives resort prices. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming which really helps enhance your stay. I must mention Uhpul in the Dhoni Bar and Alix in the main restaurant for their excellent customer service. Both of them really made our stay more enjoyable!
Excellent picturesque resort. Great, friendly staff. Many activities - scuba, snorkelling, wind surfing, kayaking to name a few. Good food with many vegetarian options at each meal. All inclusive package is truly amazing, especially for honeymooners.
Quite nice, but they have overlooked small things in their villa design and food can improve a lot. Also the final billing experience needs one to be careful and attentive. It's not quite as seamless as one would expect.
An Island Resort on Olhuveli Island in Maldives. It takes about 40mins by speed boat from male airport to reach here. The resort has 2 pools, 2 bar and option of cottage rooms, rooms with plunge pool, sunset water villas and jacuzzi villas.
The staff is cordial and buffet spread is more or less the same. There is an live counter for pasta and clearsoup. For vegetarian the food options are limited with curd rice, pasta, salad and a gravy either with cauliflower and or paneerthe fresh fruits in dessert section is nice.
The rooms are spacious and clean and our package was all inclusive which meant minibar was replenished once a day as per our consumption.
Life jackets are kept in the room so one can swim anywhere using these. Snorkeling gear is given on rent(free for all inclusive packages)
Please check the Bills as they ate known to add things in your bill which either is in all inclusive package or you haven't used it.
Overall a nice experience.
The snorkeling around the property is a beautiful experience as we saw baby shark, mantaray, octopus, and lots of sea life.
We were in a group and almost all of us had billing issues.
Caution if you are opting for water villasthey tend to get very hot in the noon and during low tide.
Very good resort to enjoy your holidays.value for money, service excellent, staff very cooperative. Dont miss scuba diving in ohuveli. Don't forget to meet Mr shah and Mr ausam for your memorable stay.
Biased attitude towards non Caucasians. Service is bad, probably bad managers. Had a very bad experience this visit.
Moreover, be careful with their 'crab race' though not mentioned, you have to pay for gear when it's meant to be 1st prize!!!!
Be careful when ordering drinks while dinning.you have to pay for water as well. Be prepared if you're buying their packagesmake sure you have a check list of what's provided.
You could be charged for swimming in the sea around the island. LOL!!!
It is a typical island resort in Maldives which possesses every gorgeous things of ocean. It’s worth to spend a big amount of money for experience. In general, the resort is managed well and provide acceptable services. Food is not so impressed. There are plenty of beach and you can easily find yourself an isolated place.
Great place and friendly stuff. Water is cristal clear and has many fish. Feels like living on top of a huge fish tank
The stay was really really fantabulous the hospitality the service the buffets the evening snacks all sumptuous. thanks to Khaled siau n Sakib great chefs
Amazing place to visit.friendly staff and complimentary surprise gifts are amazing. Suggest everyone to visit once.thanks team more memorable moments
This little paradise makes you forget everything . The real life aquarium, the white sand , just makes our holiday wonderful .
All the resorts in the Maldives are beautiful. The staff at Olhuveli make your stay here an unforgettable experience.
Wonderful stay , friendly staff we enjoy every moment in the resort. Well Organized and good management of how to maintain the island clean and they ,provide us a very detail introduction of the resort when we reached the island. All the staff in the island greet us whenever we meet. Beach villa and water villa are very nice !
It was the first stop of our Malvidives vocation! We lived in the water villa, checked in at the mid night, so exhausted after a long flight, when we walked in the villa, saw the little sharks swimming around the villa, all the tiredness went away! In the morning, when we opened the curtain, the beautiful lagoon is in front of us, fishes under our villa, the sea is so crystal clear, we also saw a big turle and sea bird! The staffs are very friendly, Shaheen and Arthir helped us took a lot of nice pics! Overall, the resorts is very good value!
This place is absolute paradise. From the moment you step in the resort you are greeted with service. Stayed 5 days and everyday just keeps getting better. Staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend to get all inclusive. We did not include drinks in our package as we were here to relax.
1) Staff were rude and lazy.
2) Internet was available only in rooms (not as advertised) and horribly slow.
3) buggies (club cars) are always not available.
4) watersports (fun tubes, Banan and the crazy sofa) are not available as the lazy staff are always making up excuses so they won't work in 7 consecutive days.
5) Electricity and water keep going off in rooms (happened three times in a week).
6) Hot water is not always available washrooms.
7) The Doctor is not available (he is sick as per the reception).
8) No creams or ointments are available for sunburns but they offer you an expensive Spa treatment.
9) Sauna and steam rooms are available SURCHARGE.
10) all washrooms are stinky (we rented 8 water villas).
Awful experience!!!
A paradise beautiful island with the loveliest staff you could possibly meet. Wherever you walk, you are greeted with beaming smiles and salutation. The food choice and quality is impeccable, as are the bars and accommodation. The Dive School has excellent amenities and a good bunch of staff (Hi Vitaly, Miranda and Ayaz!). I cannot fault this island; the sad exception however, were the guests. The ratio of nationalities have swayed to probably 70% Chinese; most of which were rude, pushy and barge you out of the way. Language barrier or not, a polite smile to other guests and staff is not difficult, and unfortunately their behaviour brought the tone of the island down quite a lot compared to 5 years ago. Hey ho, you can't pick your guests. It's a culture thing, and quite clearly their belief is to treat staff like dirt. That aside, Olhuveli is a beautiful resort, with wildlife above and below water to die for. Don't let the above put you off. We miss you already. Thank you Athir, Faresh and Azim. xxx
Very nice staff, and good buffet restaurant for all inclusive. Bathrooms well kept throughout the resort, and the resort overall is well kept and has good facilities. Weak points would be that the current state of the accommodation is a little tired; in need of some refreshing and updating in places. Resort WiFi is very slow, but this could be par for the course in the Maldives give it's location.
Definitely recommend all inclusive as it will be very expensive to eat otherwise.
I enjoyed my stay the jacuzzi villa. The best ever place to spend a beach holiday. There are lot of fishes coming around the villa. Also there is a diving enter which provides training and equipments. The giant manta ray watch at nights is awesome. These huge fishes come around splashing the water at nights along with some luminescent parrot fishes. You can see this around 7 pm near sun set diving center. Also when you reach the four spices restaurant for breakfast you can see a lot of cute little sharks roaming around the shores. There are several restaurants and bars in the island where you can get a range of food, however it's recommended to go for Maldivian food or see food with its authentic taste. The prices are but higher but worth the pay. The hospitality of the staff is at the top rank. Overall I would rate it as a must visit place.
