Lovly staff! Great room service.
Expensive restaurant and bar at the resort. Very hot at the evenings.
Spa Department was not good at all, they could really need some eduquation.
Nice and walking distance from restuarants and a beautiful clean sandy beach with easy swimming, good views and beach fruit freshly prepared. Good car park housing many cheap good quality local food bars opposite a post office and a currency exchange bureau. Be aware that children in the pool and especially in the spa can totally deminish the peace and tranquility if that is what you are looking for. Go to the beach!
Very good reception and housekeeping services. Friendly and helpful staff. Wide variety of dishes at dinner, but could be more creative wrt desserts, and less repetition of dishes. Lovely, spacious room and bathroom, with kitchenette, safe and open cupboard, with wood furniture - gives a personal homely feel. Lots of packing space in bedside tables, too
We had to change the room because the air AC was not working. Second room had the same problem and so you have to sleep in room that had 30 degrees celsius. Hotel definitely not recommendable. Food was also not good.
We enjoyed our stay at Lé Palmiste Resort (Nov 2017). The staff is friendly and quite helpful. The room was perfect and the bed extremely cozy. Restaurant is quite good and they have variety of items for breakfast and dinner.
For lunch we had Indian thali on two occasions(the day we arrived and the day we checked out - both were complimentary) and tbe food was extremely good. One downside= there are a lots of sparrows in the restaurant. Apart from it, it was all perfect :)
This place is truly phenomenal!! A 3 star Resort and Spa that feels like a 4 star accommodation!! Everything and more that you would need at one place!! This hotel is perfect and is located in the best spot!! I enjoyed the service from the manager and the staff. The food was amazing. The room was up to standard!! I would definitely be visiting Again!!
Thanks to Siva the manager for your sincere welcome!!
It was an amazing experience with LA palmiste, stay was awesome , amenities are very good with Jacuzzi and three swimming pools but the only problem was food there were so many Indian couples with us who was suffering same problems, they genuinely should keep Indian food, breakfast with good taste, some Indian chef should be there, although my husband was Jain and we asked for Jain food they did have there best try to make Jain food for us but still need to improvise on taste of food, room service was OK. Rest all was very good beach was very near by.
Great resort, friendly and communicative stuff. And what is most important it is really near to the one of most amazing Beaches on Mauritius.
Excellent resort for Indians, resort have indian chef's and places is nearby to beach..
Firstly the location is great, have bike rental shops, good restaurants, super markets , money exchangers and ATM machines nearby. Resort give free candlelight dinner for honeymoon freebies.. Don't think much, just enjoy the place..
Amazing place to stay at. Used them via holiday factory for my trip. I couldn't ask for anything better. The team at the resort are very sweet and always carry a smile. A well organized resort. Highly recommended.
I did not stay there went visiting a friend she was not happy about everything. Even she paid for half bord she went to eat in the restaurant around for 10 days n i will not go there myself. But that's my opinion as she travelled the world i belive her
My experience the people all friendly
Fresh rooms and towels
Only what's missing is Sega dancing
Happy with everything
Le Palmiste Resort & Spa is the best hotel to suggest to some one on their visit to Mauritius, We stayed here for a week with a pleasant environment and welcoming people with smile. Varieties of food available, specially for Indians with options in both veg and non veg. Accommodation is very good with cleanliness rooms.
I wanted to mention about the interns AKASH, SUMANTH, CHIRANJEEVI, NISHANTH working here who are well behaved and very responsive towards people and their work.
Remarks:
1. Wifi is very poor
2. Only Mauritius channels in Television, one Hindi channel which is not clear. Advice to add at least English and Hindi channels.
Decent location. Average food. Average property. Recommended only if you are on a budget vacation.
Very pleasant resort. Neatly maintained. They had cultural/musical nights organised which was fun. Staffs were not that bad. We had some issue with the WiFi though. Apart from that worth the money.
BEWARE OF THEFT - Our things including DSLR camera and money have been robbed by resort staff members themselves. Pathetic experience!
I had visited this resort and had one of the worst experience Had many worst experience. They don't provide even an umbrella in the heavy rains even to move about in resort
My watch got stolen about which no action was taken by them , in a very casual way they make me to do a police complaint and even after assuring me no contact is being made with me . I would give them minus grading if available and would not suggest anyone to visit this place.
We went for a honeymoon for this place and make my trip has arranged this hotel. One most important thing is if you are travelling to Mauritius please exchange the currency in India itself, when we exchange in Mauritius the rate was too low and it will result you a loss
It was a nice place for stay
1. Pleasant environment
2. Swimming pools available
3. Other than this books are available at the lawn of each buildings in each floor
4. Room was too good
5. Varieties in food during breakfast and dinner buffet
6. Dj's available if group of members requested they will play
7. They had organised separate sega dance which is a famous local dance in Mauritius
8. They had a souvenir shop inside a hotel which was run by a outsider and cost was not that much
9. If you go to local markets you can get things cheaper and bargains
10. Staffs were very good and anything if we ask they will respond you quickly
11. Supermarkets available nearby
12. Public beaches is a walkable distance from the hotel
13. Must try is the street foods which is very good
Visited this place in Feb 2017. The Property is good but not great. First time visitors can do little more research and get good hotels. Pathetic WIFI connection. Calm and quite place with helpful staff
Good things first :
1. Beach near the hotel is good. Just 5 min walk. You will find other better beaches too in Mauritius though.
2. If you have paid for the Honeymoon pack, they will arrange a good candle light dinner at the pool for you. You also get a white Palmiste T-shirt from thema and a bottle of wine.
3. They have bicycles which you can rent and roam around nearby places.
Shortcomings now :
1. Reception staff is not so polite. Specially one elderly gentleman. Because of the accent difference, if you don't understand something and ask again, he will be pissed.
2. They have a separate guest house on the side. 2 min away from the main resort building. It's scary to stay there if you are the only occupant because no staff from the hotel is permanently located there.
3. Out of 6 days of our stay, one AC was not working for first 4 days. It was as repaired on the 3rd day. Refrigerator, not working properly even now, till the 5th day.
4. They have Veg and Non-Veg food options.
If you are only veg, better avoid cooked for from the in house restaurant. Go for outside restaurants.
5. It's not very easy to find lot of restaurants in the surrounding. There are just 2-3 options.
6. They have 2 scooter to rent. But not working. So, if you want to go far, you have to take a cab, which is very costly.
7. If someone has come to pick you up or missed you, security will not inform you for 45 minutes. Our group tour guide left a message at the door with security at 8:45 and we got the message at 9:30. Tour guide left us at 9:00 in meantime.
Beautiful place. Rooms and pools are lovely, as is the dining area. The spa is also good.
