Very large beach with lots of beautiful sand. Avoid on public holidays though, the road is impassable with parked busses and other traffic. It is a pity because there are some great restaurants and it is one of the few beaches not obstructed by private resorts.

Beautiful beach, normally great weather. A long stretch of wide sandy beaches, good for swimming, picnics or just chilling. A lively seafront with a large selection of restaurants of varying cuisine and a good environment all round.

It's the place to be to watch the sunset. Parking is adequate. Clean generally. Public toilets available. Street vendors and stalls sell a variety of fast food and snacks. Quite safe, CCTV at numerous places. Busy area.

The beach is one of the most popular on the west coast with endless white sand beach. Couples of restaurant and supermarkets alone the side road. If you need directions there a police station. Few beach toilets which I think can be maintained more properly but decent. If you're looking for a beautiful place to see the sunset that the place to be.

This beach has one of the best views on the island. Plenty of beach to go around so nobody is cramped. Plenty of food stalls offering a variety of different meals as well as restaurants alongst the opposite side of the beach. Public restrooms are also available. Great way to spend the day or evening. Caution for some of the rocks on the beach front.

Welcome to Paradise
Beautiful white beach that stretches for kilometres.
Amazingly calm water. (Not good for surfers!!) A small wave breaks far from the beach.
The only disadvantage is the bits of coral in the sand. Be careful how you walk barefoot. Water is warm, even though it is winter here.
Have a lovely relaxed walk on the beach in the evening.
Lovely safe beach for children.
In my opinion, one of the nicest beaches I have seen in Mauritius.

Lovely beach. Plenty of beautiful white sand. From what I have experienced it is kept rather clean. And there are good amounts of food stalls dotted along the length of the beach. The water is nice and clear some great opportunities to go snorkeling or out for a nice swim.

If there was any problems with the beach it is mainly with footing. Not that it is a problem just that I offer precaution. There is a lot of seeds from nearby trees, and a good few strips of coral that can hurt when you stand on them.

Popular beach. Several places to eat. Not very good for snorkeling as coral mostly broken. Be careful when in the water as there are sea urchins. Better to snorkel at Blue Bay

Popular beach. Long stretch of beach. Easy to swim. Sections are buoyed off. You can also snorkel. You can see plants but there are not that many fish when we went in the late afternoon.

Good for snorkelling right off the beach. Always look out for boats, but the coral is not far. There was also minimum current when I went, so it felt safe.

Spacious and relaxing Beach. Great place for a swim but do protect your feet with appropriate gear. Lots of corals on the sea bed.

One of the most beautiful beach of the island and it is a public one. It means that you will meet with local people and this is much more interesting than to stay on an hotel private beach.

Such a lovely location. The water so blue, the sand so white. We spent a great deal of time here during our three month stay. The beach is cleaned daily, however it does get a bit of litter. It gets busy peak time of summer. In saying that there's still plenty of space.

Hightly recommended.

One of the most popular beaches in Mauritius. Can be hard to find a good shady spot under the trees. The water is relatively safe to swim in for young children.

Huge expansive beach with plenty of shade trees. Lots of street food vendors right off the beach. Dangerous swimming conditions outside the very well marked swim areas.

The beach is lined with pine trees, and below are some benches to sit at. There are some food trucks too. Very clean beach area. White sand. Flat water. Easily accessible. Narrow strip of sand and materia swimming area.

It's one of my favorite beaches.There are many trees on the beach;)so you can get shadows whenever you need it;))Btw during the week it's so peaceful and not many people over there.During the weekend the local people will be there and some tourists as well.But it's still

This beach was not what all the promising raitings told about. It was dirty and full of algaes, water smells and the swiming area was tiny. There were a lot of sea cucumbers looking like giant worms and I found a dangerous lionfish hiding at one rock, really hard to spot. Dangerous to swim there!

The beach is nice. You can have long walk.

But the water is bad. The water smells. A lot of seaweed in the water. If you are snorkeling everything looks dead. And we found a dangerous lion fish.

The most ppl in the 5* hotels are lying at the beach but only few are enjoying the water. Locals don't recommend this beach.

Easily accessible and one of the most popular beaches of the island.

The beaches are clean as well as some part of the water. Restaurants and hotels are close by and there are some hawkers. Different types of cuisine are available.

Parking spaces are available and can be quite limited during the weekend due to the number of people heading to the beach.
