Very helpful and friendly staff! I arrived in the middle of the night, but this was no problem. The place has a real backpacker vibe. They organise a lot of tours, so perfect if you don't have time to stick around to find your own way. The dorm is more of a hallway than an actual room, but the rooms are affordable too. Every room comes with a fan, so even in hot season they are manageable.

- Other guests were smoking on the balcony and the smoke went even to our room.

Place is ok for a sleep over. In the town center. Staff is nice. Room is ok. Just extremely noisy from the very busy street. Very basic bathroom with no place to hang your clothes or towel. Dirty mirrors. Thr whole building smells like old wardrobe quite intense. But room is fine.

Charismatic place with a soul (compared to most other faceless hotels/hostels that we saw in Myanmar). They even have warm water in bug buckets for your shower.

Lovely owner and staff, all super friendly and helpful, owner was very knowledgeable about the surrounding attractions of Hpa An, very patient and informative in sharing route and schedule with new arrivals, perfect for travellers who just past the boarder. Hostel was centrally located, with free coffee and water provided, and a good vibe. It's the cheapest in town, but room was not in the best condition, facilities surely need more maintenance.

One of the only backpacker guest house around. Staff are helpful and kind, will help and inform you quite nice. Although generally speaking it's not so clean the environment is quite good. Rooms are nice.

I met a couple from abroad. they let me know here and I can be cool.anywhere coz I was travelled India.

Reception uncle can speak English well and He let me know the place where I can travel around here by the copied A4 map. Thanks for it. reception and staffs are in smiling most of the time. hot&cool water is provided on 2rd(3rd of building) floors of here. instand coffee also shared by house.

By far the worst place I have ever stayed in in all of Myanmar, and one of the worst in my lifetime..! We found a mouse in our room, a rat in the reception room, it was so unbelievably filthy and messy. it was rubbish. Staff were ok, helped us with tours and transport, but that's all i can say that isn't negative.

The only good about this place is helpful staff, they can help you with tours and buses. Room was in extremely bad condition. Air-conditioning was not working and leaking on a bed. Toilet has an open drainage system so that sewage from a shared bathroom runs openly through your private bathroom and smells. Hot water tap is separate from cold water and no way to mix. Very run down, try to avoid.

I did the cave tour, definitely worth the $5 (usd). Free coffee was a nice perk. Looked a little rundown, but deals well with a ton of backpackers. They were painting it when I was there wich shows the do care about up keep.

The guesthouse is worst then the photos and it's dirty as well. However the stuff speak English and helps explaining what to visit in the town. All that said it was a quite comfortable staying.

BE AWARE: DO NOT BOOK ANY BUS WITH THEM. We booked an overpriced trip to bagan: the first bus was crap and it broken after 1hr. The second bus was supposed to be the best one but it was not, very smelly and uncomfortable. In additional they left us in the middle of nowhere at 4am.
