This was ok for the price. The room was definitely more shabby than the pictures show. No window in our room, but we don't mind that. Breakfast was ok - we have had better, but definitely also had worse. They let us check in 5 am, which was a relief after 9 hours on a bus.
Some staff members were pretty friendly (even provided a bucket after I got sick), but I guess the owner, who was pretty grumpy - he didn't greet us or say goodbye or thanks when we left.
There's also a temple right behind the hotel, so you can constantly hear a monk chant through some big-ass speakers. CONSTANTLY.
And if you watched a movie on the TV, the staff would suddenly switch the channel - then you got into a new movie and they would switch again - every half hour or so. That was pretty annoying.
Wouldn't stay here again - but definitely wouldn't go back to Myanmar either.

Budget guest house with very friendly staff located 20-25 minutes away (walking distance) from central Yangon (landmark - Sule Pagoda). Breakfast is simple with filter coffee, fresh noodles and bananas. The rooms are a decent size but the bathrooms are small. Overall the place is clean and the staff very helpful. Overall a good budget option.

Cheap but I didn't like it a lot

I chose this hotel because it was supposed to be close to downtown. 15$ per night per person for a double room. What a awful choice. The rooms were super small, without windows, extra basic but thanks God quite clean. The bathroom had the same style of the room, not very welcoming. I had no breakfast but I heard from my friends that it was the opposite than outstanding. The staff is nice. The guy at the reception is very friendly. WiFi is one of the fastest I tried in Myanmar but sometimes it doesn't work at all. I would I go there again? Definitely not, I would try something else increasing my budget of 5$ per night per person.
