Good for stay at Kalaw and can see nice view. Wooden structure is most attractive for tourists.

No water that day, no shower, no flushing toilet. Try to sell activities much more than downtown. We had the most expensive room and for that price you expect much more!!

They charge me for an early check in saying it will include the breakfast but they ask me more money at breakfast. The room was dirty and bathroom not usable.

I only spent one night there, but the staff definitely didn't seam enthusiastic. The rooms were cozy & the beds were warm. There is free breakfast & it's in a good location. Best part of it was the company they use to book your trek to Inle with. Jungle King, our guide Sao was a legend.

Owner is not nice at all, no smile, she just wants to make money. We agreed on a price when we arrived at 3am with the employee. At 8am she didn't want to do the discount because the employee didn't write the discount down on the book. She didn't believe us neither. We had to pay the full price. Sheets are dirty, no flush in the toilet. I'm sure you can get better in Kalaw.

Golden Lily guest house is only known for its cheap and very good quality trek and this is really the only good service there. We had a room for a few hours which was dirty, so cold and smelly there was even water on the floor. The common bathroom was awful : toilets without flush, many spiders in the shower (with hot water which was pleasant). The trek experience though was amazing and Robyn the best guide we could hope for!

We arrived early morning and had only two hours till the trek but after 8 hrs in a bus, we were in need of some rest. It's a pity they don't count with these situations, as buses usually get there early morning and people stop here only to start the treks. So we paid for 2 rooms (2 couples) to get a shower and an hour long nap. It was not expensive, but given the length of our stay it was. Anyway, the rooms are very simple and bathroom very dirty. Shower didn't work properly, toilet didn't flush and there were some back-doors who knows where, which could not be closed properly nor locked nor were the doors from the bathroom to the room. Breakfast were amazing. The lady who runs it was very business oriented, no smiles, no emotions, no small talks. Just facts, money, go! The trek was outstanding, but I am not rating it here.
