Beautiful place with a great view of the mountains, a rooftop (where you can meditate or practice yoga too), well lit rooms and a very warm, friendly and welcoming staff. Tucked away into one of the bylanes of the Main Street it is quiet and nice. The woman who manages the place (and is also probably the owner) is really sweet and is from Kalaw. The [included] breakfast is generous and amazing!! Soft blankets, a comfortable bed, warm water, good WiFi, it’s a great place to stay for a budget travelers with taste. Best price I found in Kalaw. Highly recommended!

I stayed there for one night with my girlfriend and we liked the place, its a good place to stay for a short time or when on a tight budget in myanmar. We stayed in the topfloor, only because on the ground floor the beds are all single and separated.
The staff was much nicer here than at the other places we checked out (golden lily and golden kalaw) and the included breakfast was the best we've had yet included with hotel stays.
As always when staying on a budget things could be nicer like the green carpet or the showerhead that didnt really work too well but thats a small compromise. Definitely recommended, thank you!response / report this review -

I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. It would be a nightmare.
We rented a room in the Eastern Paradise to use a shower and sleep for a few hours after a two day hike.
Halfway through my shower my girlfriend alerted me that she had spotted two big cockroaches crawling up the wall of the bedroom. I then realised after looking on the ceiling that there was also one in the bathroom.
After inspecting the room we had noted that the cockroaches were crawling from beneath the carpet and there we several more in the room.
We both each rushed through a shower and checked out.
Not the post hike relaxation either of us wanted. We had to sit in a restaurant for 4 hours waiting for onwards bus.

Good budget accommodation, good service, clean room with all the necessities and can arrange laundry, buses, and trekking for you.
