Our stay was very pleasant, good place for Mawlamyine. Stayed in the big room - worth the price for the last century experience. Beautiful colonial bedroom with original furnishings, a bit run down but with a lot of character. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful.

For adventurers who don't need sleep. Nice building and very friendly concierge. But, I could not close some windows and at 10pm you are locked in. It is not very clean. Breakfast was poor.

Its a nice location, good breakfast. Its a cheap hotel so don’t expect much. Having a shared bathroom is fine, but it could definitely do with some basic hygiene. Rooms are small but fine, mattress is good but the rooms are a little noisy.

Some times there is no hot water in the showers.
No wifi in room, no WiFi after ten pm.
Not really cozy rooms (small and clinical) although im frankly fine with that, especially as hostel traveler ive got my own room for once. Some people complained about the heat in the room, mine was fine despite only having a fan.
Not cleanest toilers and showers, no soap
    Bed is comfy

A very nice little guest house!
The location on the sea is quite good for mawlamyine (restaurants, markets, etc in the neighbourhood) and the price is very cheap for myanmar. You have free wifi and a comfy beds.

Be very careful when trying to change dollars or euros there. Cheap place, you get what you pay.

Spent 2 nights there in late September, would not rate it as a super pleasant stay.

⚫Room was spacious and clean, a bit musty given no nature lights in, but with AC it wasn't too much bothering.
⚫Beds were comfy, breakfasts were included, simple but did the job.
⚫Most staff were lovely and polite.
⚫Ground floor rooms are reasonably priced, however very noisy in early morning.

    Cons:
⚫One or two senior staffs were really rude.

I grown up in Asia but even with Asian ways that was too rude. The staff literally thrown money back on the table when we told him we had no knowledge to ride manual motorbike and asked for an automatic one, "take your money back." He said.

He then told us next shop might have automatics, pointed randomly to one direction - but there was NONE. After spending one hour on the street asking around we finally learnt, Breeze hostel was the ONLY one in town rents motorbikes to foreigners, every local knows.

⚫Managers were very nice - ONLY before checking in.

After checked in I tried to talk about price with the manager as he dropped price for another couple in front of me, a new customer arrived, during the conversation the manager just stood up left me there without a word, mind he spoke really good English, an "excuse me for a second" would be hard to find in his vocabulary.

Traveling around SE Asia I've never been treated like this before. Hope they will be nice to other travellers.

Place ok. Room spartiate but well located and very affordable. Staff friendly with license for excursion and boat.
Noisy on the morning because mainly Of foreign guest arriving from night bus and ignoring that maybe there is some customers sleeping
Night market with great affordable seafood at 5 minutes.

Stayed 3 nights during rainy season. The porch is good for drinks, and the friendly gentlemen running the place had enough stories to keep me interested. The single fan room is unbeatable at 10k if you don't mind a simple setup. Great location on the riverside!

Friendly staff. Nice colonial building. About 10000 or 13500 per person, Fan or AC. Staff have great english and are extremely friendly. It was once the house of a british port agent and the upstairs is more original with teak wood floors. Breakfast of toast and eggs is on the balcony overlooking the river.

They get 5 stars based only on the friendliness of the staff. The price for a double room is 20000 kyat and is the cheapest you can find in all of Myanmar. The rooms end bathrooms are clean enough, but don't expect luxury. The location is really good though.

Every second they you are getting traditional Burmese breakfast. It's not a castle but it's cheap so you can't expect room service. Rooms are simple and nice, toilets are clean enough. You can rent a cheap scooter here and stuff will help you with transport. Very good location, walking distance to important spots and close to pier.

Staff weren't helpful, room felt like a mental institution. We stayed because it was the cheapest place in town so I guess this is to be expected. Location is good at least.

The worst experience since the visit Myanmar. The rooms were dirty and felt like jail cells and very dirty bathroom . Staff unfriendly, I'm an Asian staying here, but I think the owner is racist and unfriendly to Asian people . and the owner of the hostel to welcome European women well. the room was extreamly noisy! You can hear every noise comming from the road and the people talking in the reception. If you can find a cheaper place (or split on a more expensive place with someone so it works out to the same cost) then do it.
