hotel is nice, pool is ok (weather too cold to use it), location is great (close to the main temples but the river is really not a must (noisy at night/early morning).
there are some other choices, especially near the GATE.
staff is helpful (especially one guy who gave us the pefect spot for sunset).
but as usual for myanmar, prices are just a ripoff for the little things: ebike is twice the price as a year ago, taxis for anywhere in town is crazy, drinks and food are overpriced

Nice hotel but overpriced. Even if the hotel was almost empty, they pushed me to leave the room with rush (I was 20 min late) saying that another guest was already waiting. They also tried to charge me 20$ for an airport transfer, while a normal taxi is 5$. However, the personnel is very kind.

The staff are great, the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast has been be very good.

The photos are of the view from my room and the sunset bar that they have here. Cheap open bar and sunset watching from the hotel itself!

PS. Those photos are unedited, the view in real life is even more spectacular.

Gorgeous hotel which is really well situated. Loved our room. Beautiful gardens which are incredibly well maintained. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Fantastic service and an amazing room. Thank you!

The Deluxe wing rooms are a bit tired and worn, but air conditioning works. The black, upside down Oriental umbrellas hung above the bed are somewhat eerie. Breakfast food was generally good. Pool is cleaned daily but the water had about taste (sulfur?).

Great place. Large clean rooms. Beautiful gardens. Friendly helpful staff. Modern bathrooms. Rent E-Bikes here or from nice young woman at Bo-Bo E-Bikes just outside the gate. Very good breakfast buffet. It's fun watching the small ferries and commercial activity on the beach below the resort.

Great location in old Bagan an a great $11 happy hour in the Riverview bar overlooking the Ayarwaddy River. Great Friendly staff and cheap e-bikes to rent just outside the resort

Had an event in early 2015 at the hotel. Overall was great even though the electricity went out a few times during the program. The staff was slow paced but understandable as they were on standby the whole time to assist us. No smile from the reception if making detailed requests. The hotel is unique style and rooms are very nice. Would go again for a vacation.
