Traditional food was ok but not for other food like Thai food. If u only want traditional food, it is overpriced.
The whole place only have 2 or 3 small fan so it is really hot if u come with big group.
Traditional foods in this restaurant are very delicious and the price also reasonable
The kitchen is clean and foods are well prepared to all customers.
One of the best restaurant in kalaw to taste local foods
MUST GO compared to other places! Place gets packed for dinner
Pretty awesome food. We walked from one end of New Bagan to his place. Food was fantastic.
Water melon juice was ridic, ordered it twice! Make sure you get the spicy sauce (chili, soy, garlic) - yummmmyyyy!!!!
- only flaw, no fans or AC. I’d recommend the owners to get fans.
Clean and flavourful food, but way overpriced for Myanmar. We had 2 curries and rice and it was over 10k Kyat, you can get similar quality and bigger portions elsewhere in the area for less money. Staff were pleasant and nice, wouldn’t go back unless they lowered their prices.
Quite touristy, but in a good way. Nice Asian food, atmosphere cool on hot days. Ice cubes made with purified water, juices nice. Overall a safe bet, you pay for what you get.
Unfortunately I could not finish half of the food. When I got back to my hotel I did not feel well and I had pain all night. I don’t blame the cat who decided to join me for my meal. Food tasted artificial. The waitresses were nice but getting pain after dinner is never a nice experience
Good place to eat, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend it.
You know you made a mistake when you see there are literally hundreds of items on the menu. Food from China Burma Thai and European available for you to choose. But the quality is pretty bad. While the food itself is clean and nicely presented it is lack of flavor.
Very clean and lovely. Beautiful and popular. I thought some of the food was strange like deep fried, hot croutons. The staff speak great English and are very friendly.
Tomato salad and tofu with mushrooms were very good. All the ladies who served us were lovely and even organised a late taxi back to Nyuang U for us after our meal. Thanks!
Food is decent. But almost twice as expensive compared to other restaurants offering the same type of food. Service is terrible. They failed to satisfy customers in every mean.
Fish with roselle curry and pickled tea leaf salad were outstanding.
Delicious food, a little more expensive compared to standard prices but worthwhile. My favorite dish, the tasty beef black pepper curry
Taste is acceptable. Service is poor. The waitress are not well trained.
Offers a great mix of local and western cuisine, at great prices!
Prices start from 3,000 for main dishes so if you wanna dine on a budget, not here. The portion is indeed bigger than the local restaurants', almost American portion I'd say, so if you have a big appetite, it may be worth it. We ordered fried noodles with vegetables and chicken (3,500 kyats) and the dish came out 1/2 bigger than the one at a Chinese restaurant in the States. Tasted a tad sweet. We also ordered squid curry (6,500 kyats), which was good and even better with coconut rice (1,500 kyats). I'd advise not to try the Tamarind juice (3,000) as it's not worth the price, but tasted ok for something sour and cold. The prices include tax already so no surprises, which is a plus!
Cons: yes, there were lots of flies. Maybe because we dined outside but we didn't know about indoor seating and weren't asked about it either. It did get annoying. Also, the staff needed to pay attention to the cat. The cat got on our table, to my boyfriend's lap and licked the food in his plate. We didn't want to be cruel
to animals so we didn't react angrily but the staff should have come and taken the cat away instead of standing there laughing. For us it was not a big problem since we almost finished, but I'm sure not everyone likes having an animal around when eating.
I had lunch here, I ordered sauté duck mushrooms and spring rolls. It was good, delicious and huge portion
Price is ok, the food is good for sharing. Like other people mentioned on the review, it's an open air restaurant so set your expectations
Overall it's a good place for you that looking for big portion and sharing plates
Worst place to eat. We ordered 4 dishes, there are flies everywhere, on the table and on the foods, so goddamn dirty. If you like to eat clean, dont come this place, very dirty. I wonder how clean their kitchen can be and how clean their food can be
Very pleasant experience with excellent food. Prices are a tad high (when compared to other alternatives, but still very affordable in your local currency) though with it you get quality and a nice setting. You will be sitting outdoors so be prepared for flies, but otherwise it was one of the best restaurants in Bagan.
Great food! Myanmar, Thai, etc. Lots of choices, all freshly made. Great atmosphere, also good for big groups.
Went there twice for dinner. Everything I had was delicious. Great staff too.
Lots of flies when you dine in. Good for travellers but not for budget travellers. No sign of local life here restaurants main crowds are foreigners avaetage meal is about 3500kyats. Come here is you are looking for a decent and less adventurous meal
We had a fabulous Tea Leaves Salad and a really nice Papaya Salad as starter. The Fish with Roselle was a revelation and the Beef Curry really tasty. The restaurant itself is clean, quite new and well maintained, the waitresses friendly and helpful. The prices are okay and the atmosphere nice and calm.
